I have been doing reward programs during the year, and for some reason my webcertificate card account # has changed and we leave in 12 days! If i dont get a new card to use in time, can i just fax my account # to reservations to have it put on my account for check in, then when i check out if i dont use it all, will they just refund me the money? Figures, 12 days to go and now this happens..... Has anyone had experience with overpaying your reservation??

I have ovepaid before, and been refunded the difference upon check-out. This was in 1998 at Dixie Landings though. Hopefully, things are still the same.

Perhaps you could put in a quick call to the CRO to find out?

Good Luck!

The overpay can be used to charge against with your Disney Resort Card.

I don't know if they will refund anything left at the end of your stay or return the balance to your credit card.

I don't know if the resort can see how the overage was paid.

I had made a ressie and paid it off completely with my debit card. I ended up switching resorts and got a considerable discount, so I had a credit on my account. I set it up at check-in so I could charge against this amount during our stay, but still had a balance of about $70 at checkout. I was originally told by CRO that I would be refunded any balance in cash at checkout as long as the room was originally paid for with a debit card or a check. If it was done with a regular credit card, the balance would be credited to that card. However, upon checkout I was told that I would be mailed a check for the difference. I even had the person at the desk check with a manager and they said that it would have to be mailed no matter how the room was paid for! She said it would take 7-10 days to receive the check - it's been 11 days since I have been home and no check, so I am going to call. Anyway, sorry this is so long, but I have gotten different stories on how this is done and am not sure what is correct!

I overpaid for our recent Disneyland trip due to a change in the reservations. I made the initial deposit with a credit card, made an interim payment with a different card and then paid the balancce by check. But the check was actually from a company I do work for and they were paying me by paying the balance on the trip.

I was told that I would get a refund check in mail in 60 days and that it would be made out to and mailed to the name on the check. But they issued the refund to the 2nd credit card on about the 70th day.
