Fantasmic! The show is better (Illuminations isn't what it used to be) and there is bleecher seating.

I'll agree that Illuminations isn't what it used to be but if I had to choose between it and Fantasmic I'd still pick Illuminations. Fantasmic is a great show but those seats kill my back!

Since it was just those 2 I'd go with fantasmic since we don't care much for illuminations (one of the very few families it would seem) We would pitch them both for the fireworks at MK our personal favorite!

OH, "Fantasmic" gets MY vote! It was simply incredible! WAY beyond my expectations. But then, that was the whole story of my recent trip to WDW - way beyond my expectations! I'm not trying to be melodramatic here, but my trip to WDW literally reawakened my sense of fun! And "Fantasmic" was one of the reasons why!

depends. if you're going during a crowded time then i'd do the fantasmic dinner package. if it's not a crowded time then it's fairly easy to find a last minute spot for illuminations. fantasmic is awesome and features many characters with fire and laser show against a wall of water. my 14 yo dd and 5 yo ds love it. illuminations is a moving experience, but maybe moreso for adults. illuminations is every night. i'm not sure about fantasmic; i know depending on the crowds they may have 1 or 2 shows on a given night.

Just got back from WDW and I can tell you that my whole family (DH, me, DS, sister, mom and nieces) was amazed by Fantasmic and although we all liked Illuminations, it couldn't compare to Fantasmic!!! Fantasmic was just beautiful and amazing!

Illuminations here! During our April trip we made a point to see all three -- Wishes, Fantasmic, and Illuminations-- but we made sure we saw Illuminations twice! We have an old tape of the music and Tapestry of Dreams we play all the time. On many trips we try to make our last evening in WDW end with Illuminations.

Fantasmic just didnt do it for me....now I only saw fantasmic once and I was Standing in the back and tired and cranky BUT Illuminations moves me!
