If you never got a towel animal would you be disappointed?

Do you care if you get towel animals

  • Yes because I think they are so cute and my kids love them.

  • No because there are worse things then not getting them.

  • I never heard of them before.

I guess I'm the minority here. I voted "yes" I would be disappointed. While it wouldn't ruin my vacation or anything, it was so much fun to get them during out stay at WL. We'd come back tired from touring all day and walk in the room to find all the stuffed animals we'd brought with us looking anxiously at the door waiting to greet us! And then there would be the towel animals in the room in odd, funny places. To me it's one of the things that distinquishes WDW deluxe resorts from, say, The Four Seasons. It's that Disney magic that I love so much.

Would you be disappointed if all the hidden Mickey's suddenly disappeared? While details like these don't make or break a vacation, to me it's what the magic is all about.

If/When we get them, my DS thinks they are pretty cute & smiles.

If/When we dont get them, we dont even think about them. They are not even on the radar if we dont get them.

Disappointed over towel animals?!?! We are in Disney World! A towel is not going to upset us. :lmao:

In all the times we have stayed at Disney (including GF) we have never had towel animals. The first I ever knew of it was when we cruised with Disney, and they made them every night. Kind of fun, but I could live without it.

I voted no. Towel animals and parades are 2 of the things that other people like to see at Disney that I just don't "get."

(What the heck is the purpose of a towel animal? Do they give you extra towels, or do you have to explain to your kids that you're gonna have to kill their new pet when it's time for showers?)

I would much rather get a coupon for a complimentary pina colada in my room. THAT would get me all excited and happy about Mousekeeping! :thumbsup2

we got one last time and my DD could have cared less. She DID think it was cool the the 100's ;) of stuffed animals she had bought were all looking out the window for her though!

I voted no.

We were lucky the first time we went in 2003, we got towel animals everyday of our stay (17 nights). Last August we only got them one time. The kids didn't seem to care if there wasn't any towel animals last time, but were very excited the one time there was some left.

Towel animals are a bonus, the best part is just being at WDW.

Count me as one who is a little disappointed. (not my kids).

Its not like it ruins my vaca or anything, but last year, we loved checking out all the cute scenes left in the windows at CBR, but day after day, there were no surprised left in our room. LOL

I agree totally. I would be disappointed if I did not get at least one during my visit. My girls think they are cutest little welcome from a long day in the parks. I got my first taste of that on the Disney Cruise and I was not even expecting it. But I got them when I stayed at the Poly too. I must admit I would be a tad disappointed if I did not get a least one during my up-coming visit.

:sad2: For myself, I could care less.

However.....we got one on our last trip, almost a year ago. About a week ago my 5 year old daughter brought it up again. She thought it was just the coolest thing, and already asked if we'll get one this time.:sad2: . So, for her sake I kind of hope we do! But if no, oh well!!

Are you kidding me? If you've got a 3 year old and a 5 year old, it's ALL about the towel animals!

We loved 'em so much, we started making them at home. Funny how kids begin to run your life...

Yes, we are a little disappointed when no towel animals magically appear. It certainly doesn't ruin our vacation, though.

Is it tacky to let your mousekeeper know you like them?

I think they are amusing, but I don't even think about them until I see one sitting in our room. Then it's like, "oh, how nice"...I'd rather have a mint on my pillow, but that hasn't happened yet..;)

I've just never understood the fascination with towel animals. There are so many tremendous things all around at WDW, somehow a towel animal just doesn't live up to the rest of it. JMHO.

I've made a lot of trips and received my fair share of towel animals. Plus, I'm a DISer and hear people talk about them all the time. But I never think about them while I'm there or wonder if they'll show up. When they do, I'm always happily surprised.

I honestly think it would be less fun if I WAS looking for them or waiting/hoping for one. Half the fun is the surprise - getting back and running into the bathroom for that long-awaited opportunity to pee and WOW! There's an animal in there!

This trip, I got two. A bunny thing and a little bird thing. Both themed to the resort! Too cute!

So, yeah, I like getting them. But I wouldn't throw myself out the doors of the Tower or Terror if I never got another.

We stayed at POR for 8 nights and didn't get any towel animals. While I think they would have enhanced the magic of our trip had we gotten some, I don't think any magic was lost by not getting any.

I know my kids would love it, though. Here's hoping for next time.

I don't expect any towel animals, so if we get some we are plesantly surprised and consider it extra magic :wizard: .

We have been very lucky in the past and one time came back (to WL) and received 4! The kids got a big kick out of them, but don't expect them.

I wouldn't mind either way but would be nice suprise and to see the smile it would put on the kids faces would make it a plus. But if nothing then thats ok too.
