Hot. Very, very hot. We’ve been that time of year 5 times and by the end of the day we are all racing to the showers!

Really? Wow. When you say hot, is it a humid heat or a dry heat? I'm not a huge fan of humidity - but if that's how it's going to be will just have to deal with it!

Not the poster, but I’ve been every month. I’d say April & May are better then June-Sept, but there is almost never a dry heat in Orlando, lol! So that’s what makes it feel hotter than it is. It’s probably high in the low to mid 80s but 70-100% humidity. We live in Louisiana so it doesn’t bother us b/c we’re used to it. Now summer is still brutal b/c you just can’t get used to that, imo!

So we are back from our 1st Disney Experience and it ROCKED! I did great at requesting additional fast passes our first day in Magic Kingdom. Forgot the power strip and with my mom's ECV, it was needed, but we made it. Loved the Disney transport. We never had a problem especially at POFQ because it only had 1 stop.

The weather was BANANAS and cold. So thankful we had our Wisconsin hat/gloves/and hoodies. We were prepared.

Thanks everyone for the tips and suggestions. DD11 is already busy planning our next adventure. Tentatively it is Sept of 2019 to take advantage of food/wine festival and MNSSHP.

Weather.....I've always been a crazy commando tourist at WDW. On a trip with my then 12 yo son and I, we were up all night after a fire alarm went off in the hotel, storm caused power to flick and mess up the alarm! We woke up at 10:30!!! I was devastated. We are rope drop people! It hailed on the way to the MK! It was Easter and packed. We put on our ponchos and carried on. There was a mass exodus. We spent the day walking on rides! We rode some rides over and over without getting off! Rain is your friend!!! Soldier on!

Rain was INDEED our friend although after 3 days i was FED UP at EPCOT. But the sun ended coming out early afternoon and that was just fabulous. I imagine we got lucky with the weather because the parks were scarce. Not even for the advantage of riding because we really were more about exploring the parks, but it made for less crowds as we walked. We adjusted our dress and layered up and made it a great trip!

Don't kill yourself trying to do everything! On our first trip, I tried to do EVERYTHING! I didn't think I would ever be back...well, I have been blessed to have been many times since then. Concentrate on what you were able to do and the special memories you made, not what you didn't get to experience!

Also, bring ziploc baggies if you are carrying a backpack. They are useful to waterproof things, save leftover food/snacks for later, put pins in to trade...if you don't want to wear them..etc.

Have a great time! POFQ is the best! Eat a beignet for me!

Humid heat. I’m from Houston, Texas (on the gulf and known for hot, humid, swampy weather) and we still get hot in April/May. Just drink a lot of water and try to avoid staying still under the sun too much.

Good for you! That's the problem with that first trip... you can't wait to go again and depending how hard you fall you might end up going for the next 15-20 years.

It was long ago that I was in EP for NYE. At midnight they had an extra long fireworks show. And the rides stayed open until 2AM. Maybe someone who has been there for NYE more recently can comment how it is now. So, what did you do for NYE?
