... does it count as a "round trip" or do you have to book it as the minimum 3-hour or 5-hour charter?

We'd be booking a motor coach to take our group from one resort to Epcot backstage, and then back again after the DP and Illuminations.

Anyone know?

Yes, that's a round-trip. You don't need a charter unless you need the bus to go to more than 2 resorts (because you can add one more hotel stop to a round trip, but that's it).

is the "MOTOR COACH" the magical express coach?

Is a "Round trip" cheaper than the minimum you have to hire it for?

I presume you book everything through your wedding planner as it will all count towards your minimum .....

but just like the price i'm not an expert and havent even started booking mine yet so check out what i'm saying is correct!

ok no problem :goodvibes
we'll just have to budget for $600 and maybe save some money :rotfl:
its better to have too much saved rather then not have enough :)

The motorcoach is either a Magical Express bus or a Disney Cruise Line bus. Round trips are cheaper than charters, which require a minimum number of hours. No minimum for a round trip.

am i right that a coach costs $440? or have i just made that up? :rotfl:

i've recently read $600 but dont quote me on that!

Motor coaches cost $97.65/hour, with a five-hour minimum, so that works out to $488.25. The rate can fluctuate, though.

eek this dessert party it getting more expensive by the minute lol :rotfl:
do you book your coach through your wedding planner?

Yes. Disney contracts with local company Mears, but you don't have to call Mears yourself.

I am having a small number of guests and my planner suggested mears mini-vans. I am having two vans for two one-way trips @$25 each so I am paying $100 for the transportation to and from Epcot. There will only be 14 of us. Thought I would add this for anyone else having a small wedding.

oh thats good. Theres only 18 of us. Do you think this would be an option for us? :confused3 :)

two one way trips? Does that mean that you wont get picked up then? Because we'd need that.

Were having an illuminations dessert party as everyone is staying on the boardwalk and using their own park passes our planner has arranged that everyone can just meet at Morocco and go directly to the dessert party.

I will not be wearing my wedding dress (were having a lunch reception so we have a break), but if I was I would have just hired transportation backstage for me and DH (feels weird saying that!:lmao:).

Yes we are being picked up after the DP. We are getting two one way trips; one from the resort to Epcot in two vans ( 2 @ 25 = $50) and then another one way trip with two vans when the DP is finished from Epcot back to the resort (2 @ 25 = $50)

I can't remember how many the vans will hold, sorry :confused3

thank you thats really helpful. Even if we got 3 vans it would be so much cheaper than what we was going to do! :flower3:

I assume that they are the 15 passenger vans that Mears uses, you can use my Estimate in my Planning Jornal when you get to talk to a planner. That may help.
