Think twice about the Simpson ride. We recently returned and it totally freaked my nearly 4 year old child out. She handled Spiderman easily. She adored Jimmy Neutron. She even enjoyed Terminator. But Simpsons scared her a lot. My 6 year old did fine on it, as did the boy sitting next to him who looked to be about 8. The two kids sitting in front of me buried themselves into their parents as well. They looked to be about 4 and 5 years old.

Like anything else it depends on the child. My kids went on every ride you can think of as soon as they were big enough to do them. The only ride that ever scared one of them was Alien Encounters. That wasn't even the "ride" part that scared her it was the preshow when the loveable little fuzzy creature got burned to a crisp.

The murdering Sideshow Bob trying to kill everyone didn't help. I closed my eyes 90 percent of the ride due to the motion simulator making me sick.

My kids could handle any ride but for some reason Pirates of the Caribbean used to freak out my son when he was around 5 or 6. He got scared when the the pirate ship was being shot at. He was afraid they'd miss and one of the cannons would hit our boat. But he loved Haunted Mansion at that age. Go figure.

I used to be scared of E.T. because I thought you had to pedal your own bikes and that I would get lost in the forest. :sad1:

My youngest was freaked by it too
and he loves alot of other thrill rides, Test Track being his favorite

He did The Simpsons once and then my DH and I took turns riding it with our oldest son, who loved it :)

I did not enjoy this ride at all

A TM had to help me off as I felt so ill. I can do all rollercoasters and I`m fine with Spiderman........................but this one...............never again.

I cannot ride the simpsons.. I will get sick.. this upcoming trip I may pop some dramamine and "suck it up" for them.. but I had a REALLY BAD experience with this ride years ago when it was back to the future..

On any of the rides a 40" child can ride, do any of the charachters get hit or slapped. My 3 yr old son is autistic and he is generally okay with a lot of stimulus ie loud noises and chaos (just another day at our home...:rotfl:), but freaks out bad if someone hits or slaps someone in a movie.

I closed my eyes through 90% of the rids, but it is the simpsons, I'm sure someone got hit or slapped. Also, in the preshow area there is a lot of that type of slapstick comedy. It may be best to avoid it if it upsets your child. I think also clubbing over the head and things like that in the preshow

For the Simpsons, Sideshow Bob is trying to kill the riders/the Simpsons, so yes there is some violence.
