I sent an email asking to change the usd 50 coupon for a usd 25 coupon. They changed with no issues a few minutes later. They honored the original rate.
July rates are coming down. I was just able to book the same car at around the same price without the old $50 coupon using Costco with the upgrade coupon option. I made the new reservation, cancelled the questionable one - feels good now!
I already had checked into my October reservation, but can no longer pull it up, so I assume it is gone too. I will look around this week to see if I can get something close. Is it cancelled already, or I have to call to cancel it?

I had this as well, however, I have been reading that the coupon savings were removed when they got to the car. I didn't want the hassle. I was able to get the same car for virtually the same price without the coupon, so why risk it?
Thanks for the heads up. I cancelled my old one through the automated system and rebooked online with the $25 coupon. Hopefully they won't cancel that one down the road either.

We just got back from using the coupon. The original check in guy was SUPER rude. Even before I pointed out the issue with no honoring the coupon. He kept trying to tell us our family wouldn't fit in an economy car, even tho we had no luggage. Same with the added insurance. He kept going on and on. Then I pointed out the rate difference (with my print out), and he became a total jerk. Finally his manager came by, and took care of us. He continued to be rude. So warning that it will be a fight.
Keep in mind, the Entertainment book coupon is a paid coupon from purchasing a Entertainment book and they can ask you for your membership card. Your supposed to hand them the actual coupon out the Entertainment book. YMMV on this being enforced.
I find they rarely check for the coupons. Especially if you check in online or at the kiosk. We used an Entertainment coupon in May and no one checked for the coupon or card. Entertainment also has online codes where you don't have a physical coupon from the book. So there would be nothing to hand them but perhaps your card.
