Go get some!

We were there yesterday, and they just started selling it. Apparently, there was a small media event, but we didn't see that. There wasn't any signage for it or anything, so you could miss it really easily. It's $4.99, and available at the Three Broomsticks and Hogs Head in Hogsmeade, and in the Leaky Cauldron, Fountain of Fair Fortune and Hopping Pot in Diagon Alley.

It's so good. There is dairy, so if you are allergic, my apologies. Otherwise, I saw it described as a latte without the coffee. Yes, it uses the same foamy top as the other Butterbeer drinks, so at the beginning you get a mixture of cold and hot that makes it even more tasty. I managed to experience Butterbeer 3 different ways yesterday (frozen, hot and ice cream).

We originally got 1 to share with 3 people. My Dad and I took turns first, and kept exclaiming how good it was. Then we joked that we were so positive, that our friend would taste it and wonder why we were so over the moon with it, but when she got her chance, she was even more effusive about it than we were! So 3 big thumbs up from us.

I wonder if the small media event was to announce that they were going to start selling warm Butter Beer now through at least early January and the end of the Christmas season.

Here's a blog post from Universal website. http://blog.universalorlando.com/whats-new/hot-butterbeer/

As cold as Orlando as been with several reports already of the Water Parks closing for the day I'm sure warm Butter Beer will be a winter hit.

If there's any way you could get a peek at the ingredients, many of us here would be most grateful.

I got a peek in 2010 of the cold/frozen ingredients, and all I knew then was that nothing was on our family's list of "can't haves". But I would love a more comprehensive knowledge of the ingredients, just in case. (and many here *have to have* such a thing)

I imagine they'll still have it for the HP event in early Feb. That's when they premiered it this year, in late January during the celebration events.

So I now have 2 more types to add to my list for when we go next fall.

Hot and ice cream. So excited. Can't wait.

Is it still cloyingly sweet like the undrinkable cold and frozen varieties?

The only consumable version that I've encountered is the Butterbeer ice cream.

i tried the hot bb once.
only once, it wasn't my thing.

the frozen bb is what i prefer.
usually get it at least a couple times each trip.

I could live off frozen butterbeer. My only hesitation in trying the warm version is if it would mean I can't have as many frozens :)

I don't like the sound of warm BB...........I do like the frozen, but one is enough..........but glad you enjoyed it :thumbsup2

I'm craving a white hot chocolate now :confused3

We had the hot and frozen butter beer yesterday. I could not drink more than a few sips of the hot. The taste is fine, but it is just too sweet for me. Also, when the foam cools, it forms a very unappealing gelatinous layer of "skin" on top of the drink. If they had a "diet" or sugar-free version, I would have enjoyed it much more.

FWIW, I could not take more than one sip of the frozen version.

I had 4 hot butterbeers over the last two days and they are definitely my favorite out of the cold, frozen and ice cream. The woman who served me at Three Broomsticks said it's here to stay, and it's been in the works for months planning, tweaking ingredients, and custom fitting all the locations for the barrel they keep it in.

Gotta say that I didn't care much for the frozen one - thought it wasn't as flavorful. The ice cream just tasted like vanilla soft serve to me. Cold was my favorite, until I tried the hot! And the hot was perfect on the cold mornings we had the last two days!
