If you have called to book the BWV for late November/early December...

how's it going? Just wondering how long the hold times might be in the early morning and if you have been successful getting standard or Boardwalk views?

I can't start calling until January 4, and am getting a little "antsy."

Would love to know how it's going.

P.S. I just called MS (at 1:15 pm CST) to check on their Holiday hours and had no wait time at all. For those who don't already know, MS is open until 5 pm (EST) tomorrow, until 5 pm (EST) on New Year's Eve and closed on Monday, January 3.

It's been very easy. I started on Monday for Nov 26 (BWV, bw view), it rang about 20 times and someone answered. Yesterday, they answered on the 2nd ring, today I was on hold for about a minute and got to take the member survey after. All right after 9:00am. I'm a little nervous about next Tuesday because my mom has a doctor appt at 8:30am and that's when I'll have to call for the last night (12/1). This doctor is never on time. I'll have to find a pay phone as soon as we're done.

I've had no problems booking late November, BWV BW view - Studio, but I am calling day-to-day for the first three days in December. Automated Menue after a ring or two, press 3-3, and got a person in less than a minute. Also booked Preferred View for 02/06/05-02/11/05 studio today. (1 BR also available)

Have been unable to book 02/18-02/25/2005 BWV since November (1Br or Studio anyview, still on wait list.)

I got busy at work this morning and totally forgot about calling! I remembered right before I was leaving for lunch, about 11:40. I got through right away and it was no problem. I've got to pay more attention to the important things! I put a big note on my calendar for tomorrow!

I've been calling day by day right at 9:00 and now have three nights booked in a standard studio. I am hoping to extend to the 4th of Dec. I've gotten right through every time (although I have found that on occassion the phone lines open a minute or two late).

Called right after 9:00 for the night of 11/30, got right through. The cm first said I would have to wait because that night would checkout 12/1 and today is 12/31. But he tried it and it worked! 1 more night to go! I confimed they are closed Monday.

I have to call for our mid december reservations in a couple of weeks.... It started out as BWV standard, but I think we are going for BWV boardwalk view instead!

I finished up our Thanksgiving reservation, earlier this week. Calling at exactly 9am est, I kept getting a busy signal... It took about 20 attempts to get connected. Once in, I right through to MS.

That's what happened to me! On my first BWV trip in 2000, I booked preferred view right at 11 months. When I bought, I was told rooms were assigned by date of reservation, so I assumed my boardwalk request had a good chance of being met (this was before they split out boardwalk & pool/garden view). We ended up over the quiet pool. I was disappointed. After that, I decided not to gamble the extra points since I don't have extra, so the next 3 years I was happy with standard view. After they split it out last year, I decided to book BW view for this year. I loved it! I thought about saving the points for next year and go standard again, but I thought what the heck, I'll borrow the points I need (this is the first time I'm borrowing).

Hopefully this time you will get a "straight-on" BW view, even though your partial village green wasn't too bad. That view of illuminated spaceship earth in the morning when all is quiet is addicting. And the FW are almost as good as being there, not to mention the people watching. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that BW view!

Believe it or not, one of my favorite memories of this past trip happened around midnight! I'm from Pittsburgh and the Steelers played on Sunday night when we were there. I watched the end of the game (it was close) and started turning things off when I looked out the living room glass door. There was a group of about 5 adults and 1 kid walking down the Boardwalk (I assume from ESPN) with Steeler shirts on. The kid was jumping up and down. I thought that was cool! I loved the people watching from that room!

Gosh, ya'll are making me home sick! People watching is one of my favorite things to do, and the Boardwalk provides entertainment all day and all night!

In the morning, the joggers (they never look happy) and the business folk heading to confrences with the briefcases and coffee... Afternoon families... I esp love the fully loaded family bike things... and at night.... when the people come out to play....


Love it.... Love it all.

We had our STEELER shirts on that day, but theres only 4 of us so it wasnt us... that is so cool. met another couple that had on their STEELER shirts too, talked for awhile about BIG BEN, then went to MK..seems like there were alot of STEELER fans that day...GO STEELERS!

You were in the room we had last year (12/2003)! We loved that extra large room!
