To the person who emailed me, could you either pm me or post your question here. I have a different internet server here in WDW than I do at home, and I can't remember your exact question.

I have a few things...
camp fires at night?
renovation rumors.
carraige rides.
room conditions.
Have not been to POR in 2 years.
Thank you and have fun!

I haven't seen anything about the campfires. The carriage rides are around $30 I think and they run from 6pm till 9:30 pm. They are going to be doing renovations soon, but they are shutting one building down at a time, not the whole thing like french quarter. Our room is in fine condition. No problems. It's beautiful. I think next time we will stay in Alligator Bayou as we like the tropical look more.

disneyobsessed,

Your HOME! How did you like the resort? Our first time at POR is Sunday! What is not to be missed? How was the walk to everything? What about the buses? Anything you can offer us would be great. BTW we are in the AB section.

I posted this question on another thread about POR, but did not get an answer, so I am hoping I can get one here.

I will be staying there for my honeymoon in June and my Fiance registered for a standard room. I was just wondering if this means we will be automatically in the Bayou, or might we be placed in the Mansion buildings also?

Thanks for any help! This is my first time staying on the property so I am really looking forward to it!

what did the refillable mugs look like that you can buy for your stay for unlimited soft drinks???? are they still purple and gold?

How is the bus service from this resort? We haven't stayed here yet, but would like to try it sometime.
Thanks!
DJ

ckmommy, sorry, I just got home the night before you left. I didn't get a chance to answer you. Hope you like POR.

Lorib30, A standard room just means that you don't have a waterview and you will have 2 full size beds. We had requested the Mansions and non smoking, and that's what we got. While the Mansions are very stately looking and pretty, the Bayou section has more of a tropical, woodsy feel. Maybe you will be able to ask at check in for the section you want.

Augustheather97, The mugs are still the purple ones. However, in the great mug debate, there were people using old mugs all over the place. So old, that they said Dixie Landings on them. They don't seem to have any problem with it.

DJ, the bus service is fine. Like any other resort, sometimes you hit it right, sometimes you have to wait. I know I have read that waiting bothers some people, but it doesn't bother us. I think the longest we had to wait, was 15 minutes. And believe me, it was PACKED when we were there. There are 4 bus stops in POR. It took us a couple of times to figure out which one was closest to us.

Any other questions, let me know.
