If you have an active AP do you get remibursed?

A friend of mine has an AP and is planning on renewing it and applying for the college program. She's always pondering what will happen to the months she doesn't use if she gets accepted.

Disney won't reimburse an AP just because someone got hired and no longer needs it.

She'll just have an AP and a Cast ID.

The good thing is that she would be able to take advantage of special opportunities that are only offered to AP's and not Cast.
