If you have a TV in your bedroom...

My SO is the one that needs all the noise to sleep. I don't like noise when I'm trying to sleep.

I like it on, DH likes it off.

Before college I used to be one of those people who needed it to be perfectly quiet to sleep. But after being in the dorms and having who knows what happening around my room I got used to the tv on to drown out all the noises.

My DH and I have a good system. He's tends to go to sleep later than me, so I turn on the TV and he watches while I fall asleep. By the time he's ready to sleep he turns it off and i'm usally not bothered by it. *shurg*

When we live in the US we usually have a TV in our room and it is always off when we go to bed. Living in europe we need a special TV so we only own one, so no more late night TV in bed. :(

I put it on timer and fall asleep watching it..:)

I used to put a timer on it and fall asleep to it. Now I just sleep with a fan. That is just about the right "noise" for me.

Me too. There have been occasions where I've woken up when it clicked off. So I set it again.

I aways fall asleep with the TV on. I set the timer for 90 minutes and I usually nod right off. Bye the time it shuts I am out like a light. :Pinkbounc

Definitely off. The only time I watch TV in the bedroom is while I'm getting ready for work in the morning, and if I'm home sick. We use a fan for white noise. Can't sleep without it anymore...it even goes on vacation with us. :)

We have a tv in our room but it has to be off when we fall asleep. DW can handle a little bit of noise but I need absolute quiet and darkness to sleep. Sometimes even the central heat or AC will wake me up. In the summer I do get used to sleeping with some heat as it gets pretty warm in our room even with the AC.

Ceiling Fan on, TV Off!;) But, when I take a nappie, TV is on but sound is on LOW! Don't want to sleep too long.;) When I am at WDW, I can sleep with it on, but, wake up in the morning, and its OFF! No-one remembers turning it off.

I must have noise when I sleep. However, CD and TV must be off (I have both in my room). I need the sound of cars. It sounds crazy to others, but when you live near the turnpike for 16 years, cars are what gets ya. I can't fall asleep at camp, or in other places nearly as easy, I have to hear cars in the background. (Yep, lets all point and go "Brad needs some help" in big group).

i can fall asleep more easily if the tv is on. dh doesn't like it on when he is trying to sleep.
