If you have a guaranty room, can you request a particular area?

And how would you go about doing it? I know along time ago, you could call/fax a room assigner at Disney World to put your request in . Is there such a thing for DCL? Thanks.

I dont know if this situation applies, but:

Booked late for our upcoming 5/7 cruise...TA could only get cat 9 GTY.....monitored situation closely and soon received a stateroom with a location I just hated......called TA and he called DCL, who immediately changed our stateroom to one of our absolute favorite cat 9s......I dont know if it was pure luck or great TA, or both.....

I have been told by my TA that the Guaranty rooms are not assigned until the day of sailing, so you could be placed anywhere on the ship.

There is only a certain quota of pre-assigned rooms and once these are gone, you have to accept a Guaranty room in the category you booked.

However, you will always have a slim chance of being upgraded with a Guaranty room. With a pre-assigned room, upgrades just don't happen.
