If you had to skip one of the 4 major parks, which would it be?

This is hard. I love all 4 parks so much, but if I was made to choose one park I'd have to miss, I guess it would be MGM and that is hard cause I LOVE that park.

I would skip AK. My dd is 3 1/2. She has gone every year since she has been born. She gets alot out of DHS, she loves the show Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney, etc.

There is more for a little one to do there than at AK in my eyes. After she does the Safari and the rapids she is over it and ready to go. Even in Nemo last year we left before it was over.

We would skip AK if we had to. We are usually finished with everything we want to do there within 4-5 hours.

We would also skip the Studios. Would be better if there was actually some studio work going on there. I miss watching the animators at work !

skip AK. its my least favorite park... not because of the walking or anything, i just find it to be terribly boring. a zoo with a few sporadic rides. not too impresesive, IMO.

I'm suprised so many would skip the studios! That is a big stop on our trip because my kids recognize all the Pixar characters! DHS is the only place i've seen to find Monsters Inc and Cars. And those a big ones for my kids. Plus they love Toy Story so going to Pizza Planet is big for us, with Toy Story Mania would be open when we go in May. Also BATB show, GMR, Playhouse Disney and the new HSM will be big hits. For DH and I, of course RnRC and ToT. It definately will be one we won't be missing.

For us, this trip we've had to cut Epcot. Sure, I'd love to make it, so they could see Turtle Talk with Crush, Soaring, The Land, and all that good stuff. But that's a real quick trip. They are too young now for the Kidcot stations and all the WS attractions. So we cut that one. If we were doing a park hopper, we'd probably do DHS/Epcot in 1 day, but we're trying to save $$ so no park hoppers this time.

MGM has the lowest number of attractions currently. Unless you are going to hop, that would be the one to skip - esp. since there are a number of attractions to be skipped there.

We went in December with a DD4 DD5 and 2 DD6's. (not all ours):goodvibes

In hindsight I would have skipped MGM as it had the least to offer this age/gender group. The 3 older ones were not interested in Playhouse and all of them were too young to appreciate the stunt shows. They were also all too young to do TT or RnR so that left little to do.

We would have been better to have spent and extra day at Animal Kingdom, which they all loved.

Just my opinion!!

Me too!! My kids are 3 and 4 and they LOVE DHS! They have all the Playhouse Disney characters there! I find it puzzling that someone with small kids would skip this one over Epcot and AK?

Animal Kingdom. Went once, didn't like it. Someday I should give it another try. Love MK, MGM, and Epcot in that order.

I agree with you! We may skip Epcot also, since we have a short trip planned.

We've tried it 3 times and I always try to approach it differently than the other parks i.e. take our time, talk to the CMs, notice the details etc instead of just rushing from one ride to the next but we're always ready to leave within a few hours:confused3

Maybe it's just me:guilty:

Isn't it interesting that every park but MK is listed as one to skip?

Well I guess I am the first...

We would skip the Magic Kingdom. Epcot is our absolute favorite and sepnd more time there than all the other parks combined.

(flame suit on ;) )

Bill
Note--we have no children to take with us so this is from 2 adults

No flames here...to each his own:thumbsup2

I would definitely skip MGM (sorry, I know about the name change, but it will always be MGM to me!!) I used to really like it there, especially when they had the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" game/show. But once they got rid of that. . .I didn't like it as much. . . TOT is one of my favorites, but when I'm in the park I feel like I have to walk around and look for something to do.

i would skip Animal Kingdom. We went about 3 years ago. Our kids were 5 years old and 6 months. We just didnt have that much fun there. The only part we loved was that we could really meet a lot of characters there with little wait. Otherwise, it was kinda a snooze.

I agree. I thought I was the only person on this planet that didn't really like Animal Kingdom. But this is also the same person who isn't a fan of the Zoo's back home or Sea World for that matter? I do not push this on my son though, he doesn't know mommy isn't a fan. We still do attend those parks. If I had to avoid one AK would be it......my son loves HStudios. He is a HUGE Star Wars Fan and Toy Story.........
