If you had to skip one of the 4 major parks, which would it be?

I think I would skip MGM because my kids are 4 yrs and 2 yrs and there's more for them at the other parks. Does that sound about right?

I agree. The movie theme parks are more adult oriented. Disney Hollywood Studios at least is better than most.

The theme park I have skipped too long now is Animal Kingdom because of the short hours and an emergency last year when I did try to go.

I remember loving Star Tours and the Indiana Jones show as a kid, but hating the rest of MGM. I also remember that you had to be a certain height to do most of the stuff there.

i would skip Animal Kingdom. We went about 3 years ago. Our kids were 5 years old and 6 months. We just didnt have that much fun there. The only part we loved was that we could really meet a lot of characters there with little wait. Otherwise, it was kinda a snooze.

Disney Hollywood Studios - Though we love RnRC, and TOT, most of the park does start to feel a bit boring to us. We skipped our planned 2nd day there this past trip.

I would agree. When my nephew was 4 he disliked MGM. This trip I only plan to go to Fantasmic and a few other thigs. I am only spending a half day there.

I would skip Animal Kingdom or Disney Hollywood Studios. We seem to go through those parks rather quickly. I always feel we need a few days at MK or Epcot. However, on our last two trips we skipped the Studios and AK. So, we're due for a visit there....I miss TOT and Star Tours, and I think 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi are lots of fun.

I'm not sure which I'd say to skip, but honestly, the only park I can remember as a 7-year-old was the MGM studios. I guess I'm pretty strange, but I don't even remember the Magic Kingdom at all... just the Haunted Mansion and PoC (which scared me senseless, don't ask me why).

I do however remember the ToT (and being afraid that the floor of the library was going to drop while watching the video beforehand, then becoming completely relieved to learn that I would be strapped down for the actual fall :rotfl2: ) I remember the Indiana Jones stunt show, and buying an Ewoks coloring set from the Star Wars ride. I remember the Muppet 3-D show, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, and many things from that day.

Now, please don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that any child should be deprived of the MK :wizard: but I was just thinking how funny it was that the only things I can really remember from that trip was the Hollywood Studios :rotfl:

If I had my DD - 2 with me, I would skip Hollywood Studios. If it was just adults, I would skip AK.

I'd skip DHS. I love AK so there is no way we would ever skip it.

If its a time thing I'd have one ticket as a hopper (I'm a passholder so I'm not sure you can just make one a hopper) and I'd do Animal Kingdom in the morning and the studio's in the afternoon. In my opinion I would hate to skip any of the parks. The Studios have Beauty and the Beast show that I think young kids would enjoy and as someone mentioned Star Tours, The Muppet movie etc. Is the Little Mermaid currently open?
Animal Kingdom is a favorite here and the petting zoo is usually a big hit with kids. Also the Lion King show should be good for the kids. There is a Dumbo type ride with dino's as well. I see young kids watching the tigers in awe on that trail.
We often split a day between AK and HS.

The parade is awesome there though. All the Pixar characters and other disney movie characters. Worth it just to see that IMO.

This is hard..I can't choose, but I can go in order from fav to least...MK,Epcot,AK,Studios...I never skip any of the parks,Studios and AK I can do both in like half a day..I love the parade at Studios and I love Pixar and that is where all the Pixar characters and Fantasmc is the best, after Wishes of course...I don't know I love everything in each park so I can not pick lol.

With kids those ages I would skip Epcot. AK has the animals, and what kid doesn't love to name animals. MK...you can not skip that one. Studio...plenty of characters to meet there. If your kids watch Disney stuff like mine does, then Studios is worth it just for the meetings.

Epcot is just a bit too grown up...although the Land restaraunt is a great ADR place.

If we had to skip any... it would be Epcot in a heartbeat!

It is our least favorite (don't get mad anyone... I know people absolutely love it... maybe we missed a bunch our two times there)!

We actually enjoyed AK, even though a lot of people do not. It is far from the zoo that many people think it is!

MK is hands-down the best! :thumbsup2

Our preference:
MK
Disney Studios (or whatever its called)
AK
E

(Studios and AK are truly a tie)!

I was going to suggest a split too. You also have The Great Movie Ride, Playhouse Disney, Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground, Toy Story Mania My grandkids pick the Studios over AK.

PS Yes The Little Mermaid is open.

I have 2 daughters 6 and 7 and thy find AK to be boring. We dont waste our time there anymore. Thats like a half day for us anyway. We love MK and Studios the best.

16 trips to date....used to be that AK was our 'half day' park. Now, it's Hollywood Studios. I love RnRC and now like ToT...but other than those two attractions, there just isn't anything compelling me to head there. I do like the atmosphere, but if there are huge crowds, the atmosphere tends to suffer.
So....now my favorites are...MK, AK, Epcot, HS. HS is my 'miss' park if I have to make a choice.

Animal Kingdom. We've never spent more than 1/2 a day there.
