I've seen a female Darcy, too, but I prefer it for a boy. I think I should have been giving birth and naming children in the 19th century.

This is a cool tool. It shows the popularity of a name over a hundred years or so. Apparently Darcy was used on boys from the 1940's to the 1970's, though not very often. After the seventies, it's been used mainly for girls.
