Hi! I am new here and have a question-if you had a choice of when to go when would that be? I am looking at 1. late October 2. first 2 weeks of November 3. first 2 weeks of December or 4. the end of September. I know Pop Warner is going to be there early December. Is there anything else I should know about. This our 1st trip with me, DH, DS-13(I may have to drag him kicking and screaming), and DD-6 and a complete princess. I would like to make this our yearly vacation if I can just convince DH that he isn't going to be mobbed everywhere we go. I expect some crowds, I just don't want a huge crowd. Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

I'd probably go in December either before or after the Pop Warner championshops. The crowds will be much less, the weather should be nice and you get to enjoy the Christmas decorations.

Either first two weeks of November or first 2 wks of december.

We went early Nov for our honeymoon and loved it. We were able to still swim. There were really no crowds at all and the temps were great.

I have never been in December but I would love to see the Christmas decorations so I would really like to go early December some time.

Personally, I would go late October. DH and I honeymooned there from October 26 - November 1, and it was fantastic. Hardly any crowds (except for Halloween at the MK) and the weather was decent. We had a wonderful time, I highly recommend it.

We were there last December 3 - December 11, and it was complete chaos. The crowds were unbelievable - and it wasn't Pop Warner week! Most of the CM's we chatted with were amazed at the crowds, they said it was NEVER like that in early December. Don't know if some people are hearing that early December is a quite time to go and so now everyones going then or what, but it was BUSY. We will NOT be going back in December, but the Christmas decorations were really nice!

My vote would be for the 2nd week of December. BUT, that being said:

....we went 11/27-12/2 and the crowds floored me. I had been during the 1st two weeks of Dec for two previous trips and LOVED it. BUT THIS PAST TRIP!!!!???? There were SO many people compared to previous visits. We, too, asked a CM in MK if early Dec. was a crowded time of year now. She said that she hadn't ever seen it like this before and wasn't sure what to expect anymore.

Have a wonderful trip.

If you are looking for the least crowded times, I would suggest September or October. Early December can start to get busy with all the Christmas decorations. But ... if that's important to you, consider the middle 2 weeks of December and get out of Dodge before Christmas week.

Unless you're claustophobic I wouln't worry all that much about crowds.Their never that bad (disney World is as big as Rhode Island). I used to go during summer (don't) but now I go during spring break. It truly is the best time to go. Also if you're worried about crowds try extra magic hours theres noone there.

Another vote for late October. MNSSHP is a lot of fun, even your DS-13 should enjoy it. Nothing like riding Space Mountain over and over with hardly any lines!

Food and wine festival is so much fun too. Lots of yummy things to try.

The weather in late October was fantastic on our trip, warm enough to feel like you were in Florida, but not so blistering hot you couldn't stand it. Crowds weren't bad at all. We're trying May and December this year, but will probably go back in October next time.

Without a doubt #3!! The first 2 weeks of December. You'd get all the Christmas decorations and all the festivities minus the crowds! the only drawback would be the shortened park hours.

Wow you got a lot of differing opinions! I guess there is no bad time to be in the happiest place on earth!!

We went in September last year and loved it!! Can't wait to go back (2007). The weather was warm and beautiful and there were hardly any crowds. It was the best time! Whenever you decide, you will love it! Have fun!

we went last Sept/begin Oct and the crowds were ok...except at restaurants!! FREE dining perhaps...

it was kinda hot still but we were fine with that...we rarely waited for anything for more than 5 or 10 mins

only FP we needed was for Soarin'....then when we went back the standby line was super short... :rotfl:

this year we are going the week after thanksgiving...I am looking for milder weather but still warm enough to swim some...and we can stay longer because of Tgiving

I hope we have just as much fun this time as we did last time

I hope we see Fantasmic this time!!! pixiedust:

September is great if crowds are what are worrying you. The weather isn't always great though. We were there the third week of September 2005 (the parks were pretty empty). LOTS of rain which really wasn't a problem but extremely humid. I felt like a drowned rat most of the time. One of my husband's favorite things to do was to watch as my hair frizzed out of control as soon as we walked out the door in the morning. (Not one good hair day the whole time...........)Also you may run into some hurricane trouble............

That said we had a wonderful trip and didn't even feel tired at the end of the day because it wasn't brutally hot and we weren't fighting crowds all day.

Have a great trip.

September is good for crowds, but my vote would go to December! You can enjoy lower crowds and all the decorations!

We went in late Sept 2004 (the day before Hurricane Jeanne) and it was great! Gorgeous weather (except one day), low crowds.....I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Just have to watch out for the hurricanes.
