Hi I'm Brittany and 17 years old...So for one of my christmas presents this year my parents gave me a 2009 Passporter with a post it saying that we were going to disney this summer for 2 weeks and that i was the one that is planning it...so plan whatever you would like too

i am so excitedd!!!

so i need help thinking of everything i should do

resort: i am trying to be reasonable so All Star Music Family Suite

but im going to say the polynesian and see how it goes with my parents and if it goes good i wont suggest the family suite but if it doesnt go over well then ill suggest them

so if you had the chance to do ANYTHING at walt disney world what would you wanna do and why?!

My parents and I used to do combos with resorts. spend your last 2 nights or so at the Poly if you're willing to compromise.

So, if I could do whatever I wanted in Disney, I'd definately spend more time alone in EPCOT and browse through the shops in World Showcase.

That sounds like a good idea ive never heard of anyone compromising but I am definately going to try this!
and out of all the times that i have been to wdw ive never really taken the time to go to the worlds considering that i used to think it was dumb and id rather ride some more rides but im definatley going to do that

Thanks!!!!

If the poly is a no go, try convincing your parents to stay at a moderate resort. I stayed at Port Orleans and it was unbelievable.

I totally agree with HSMndLKfan92, spend time in the world showcase. I wish I would have spent more time there; the shopping is amazing.

Make sure you get to Downtown Disney; amazing shopping and good food. (I recommend going to Ghirardelli chocolate while there...amazing ice cream sundaes!)

I would go to the water parks (as long as it was warm enough) along with the parks. The water parks are so much fun!

there's many things I'd do, but I wouldn't stay at the Poly. I've stayed there and it's not really worth the money. But then again, that's just my opinion.

Anytime. :)
I'm a bit of a shopoholic, so it works out well.
If you don't appreciate it, take the boat over to MGM and ride Tower of Terror or Rock 'n' Rollercoaster. :p The rides in Future World aren't that bad, either.

I would personally stay at the Swan/Dolphin, Yacht/Beach Club, or the Boardwalk. When you stay in that area there's tons to do. You can walk over to MGM or EPCOT, or you could roam on the Boardwalk at night. It really is the best area as far as activity goes.

I agree, if the Poly doesn't work out.. even Pop Century is better than All Stars. but other nice resorts are Boardwalk, Port Orleans, Contemporary (not the tower).

uhmm.. wow 2 weeks in Disney. I would make sure I see all 4 parks, both water parks and have a night at Downtown Disney. :thumbsup2

I'd spend a lot of time browsing the shops.
That's something that gets skipped often with my family.

I'd also spend more time in the World Showcase in Epcot and take time out to walk around the other resorts since I've only stayed in Port Orleans Riverside and All Star Movies.

The last 3 times we have been we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in the alligator bayou section but now that my youngest brother is 11 we cant stay in with 5 people so that means we would be paying for 2 rooms at a moderate and it could get pricey when staying for 2 weeks.

What else is there to do besides parks and DD and circque de solei or whatever that is...
because thats like all we do when we go and my mom said that we are going but i have to find some new stuff to do...

HELP HELPPP

Well... when i found this thread i thought this sounds like me. My best friend and i are planning a trip for 15 days in Flordia next July as a Graduation trip (the two of us are paying for it completely) - except the plane ticket as that was our present...

We are doing All 4 parks... meeting characters, SHOPPING, spending time at Epcot to go through all the countries, going to both water parks, cirque du soliel, DD, character dining, meeting characters, collecting autographs, pressing pennies, trading pins, taking TONS AND TONS of pictures...

the two of us are so excited... i shall keep my eye on this post as i would also like to know the ins and outs as we are travelling solo... two 18yr olds. Don't want to miss anything.

Take a tour? New Restaurant? Learn to Surf?

A nice tour sounds nice! I never have been on one of those before. And currently the surfing lessons aren't going on because they are redoing the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon- but I've already promised myself that im going to learn to surf their one day. (Maybe in a future trip you can too, Brittany, it looks like alot of fun!) I think you have to be a certain age to do this, but you can also drive a race car right outside of the Magic Kingdom. Im not sure how you sign up for that though, and I know its extra money. Has anyone ever swam with the dolphins/ in the aquarium at Epcot before? Im curious about that, and cant remember if they are still allowing you to do that or not.

If you have time I would go shopping at Down Town Disney (if you're not already too tired, I almost fall asleep everytime we go down there) and go to as many new and different resturants as you can.

if it wasnt so much i would probably want to stay at the cinderella castle suite. but other than that , i would want to take the tour of disney.

I wanted to do the surf thing but I was looking into it and it says they are not doing that for the beginning of 2009 and they dont know when they will bring it back =/
