just came back and wanted to let you know. if you are planning to ride the manta at park opening, don't get in the line right away. you need to put your stuff in the lockers before you get in line. If you have more than one in your party, then one can stand in line while the others put the stuff in the lockers. Lockers are 50 cents. I chickened out and didn't ride but my son loved it. Said it was one of the best he had been on.

How big are the lockers near Manta, approximately?

We were thinking of bringing a small backpack for dry clothes & stuff to put on after Atlantis. When full it's maybe 8 x 10 x 15 inches. If we know the locker sizes beforehand we can get a bigger locker near the entrance and then we won't have to backtrack and waste time if the ones right near the coaster are too small.

I'm not sure how big they are because I didn't ride so we didn't need to get a locker.

standard size is just a bit shorter than the refillable cups, but longer than the cup.
There's also storage area in the middle of the ride exit for things like sun glasses, cups, and flip flops...

Just to let you know.. this has all been discussed throughly.

Josh if you dont sit in the first 2 rows on Atlantis you probably aren't going to get wet.

My wife will probably be carrying a 'fanny' bag and I will have my cam secured to my belt. Will I have to put these away in lockers as well? :confused3
Thanks

I did put our fanny pack in the lockers whilst on the bigger rollercoasters last year. Not for fear of loosing it, but for comfort whilst on the ride. I found that the seat restraints didn't feel nearly as secure as I wanted them if I left it on.

Just a thought for your wife :)

Thanks guys! All goes in lockers!

They make you put everything and anything into lockers or into the holders in the station. It's insane because I wear my fanny pack on every other ride at every other Orlando theme park. I managed to wear my neck water bottle holder a few times but then they suddenly decided I had to leave that as well. Not sure why they are so overly paranoid on Manta. All I can figure is because it's a super item grabbed...if you have anything in your pockets, you WILL lose it.
