sorry this is kind of confusing to describe.
i have a reservation in late Nov.
if i cancel the reservation now, my points will be put into a holding account.
i also have a reservation in Jan '04.
right now that Jan reservation is using regular points.
if i do cancel my Nov ressie, and thus "generate" some new holding acct pts...
can i call MS in a few weeks, and ask them to reallocate the points for my Jan ressie?
what if the Jan dates are sold out?
is it treated like a cancellation, and rebooking where they actually release the nights, and try to make a new ressie?
or in the case of holding acct points, can they just do a reallocation w/o releasing the reservation?
i tried to ask someone at MS this question over the phone.
they had no idea what i was talking about. i guess i will try again, but thought i would first post here to see if anyone has experience w/ this situation.
also, can anyone else word this question better? maybe if i could word this question more clearly, someone at MS could actually answer it for me. heh.
TIA!
