Oh I think it's a cute shirt! Just assumed it was yours not his
I made that (failed) joke before my coffee kicked in LOL

I'm sorry it has taken a while to get it finished, DH got to stay in LV for a conference so it has just been me running the show this past week.I'd love to do it one day, so really happy you are doing a race report on it!
Yay! That's about the only meal/drink combo I can specifically recall (it's been about 14 yrs)from my first Vegas trip, we stayed at the Luxor too!We opted for tacos and margaritas at the mexican restaurant in the Luxor instead.
I should have one under my belt by then but the problem is there is a 5 hour limit on it. Maybe if I work real hard this next year and have @DopeyBadger help me I can be ready for it!
Doing the math after I wrote it did make me realize it would be hard work But I think it could be a good goal for 2017. I definetly want to get through Dopey before I say for sure.Nice recap!
You are at the fitness level of a 6 hour marathon right now. An improvement of 1 HR down to a 5 HR marathon is about a 17% improvement. This is a physically achieveable improvement in a years time. It wouldn't be easy, but it is feasibly possible.
Thanks!Excellent recap! Love the shot with you and your husband in front of your wedding chapel.
Those yards get bigger everytime I go, it's insane!!Yay! That's about the only meal/drink combo I can specifically recall (it's been about 14 yrs)from my first Vegas trip, we stayed at the Luxor too!I still had the yard drink cup thing and we'd used it for spare change / "fun money" until a few years ago I think. This was an awesome race report! I've heard good things about the Vegas races...so glad you and DH had a fun run. (still an oxymoron.)
Thanks! I am night owl and feel like I run better in evenings anyways so I didn't find it strange.Awesome job! Awesome medal! and Awesome sparkly skirt! Was it weird running a whole race in the dark? Seems like it would be both cool and really strange at the same time.
The full goes on at the same time as the half and I think they run a lot of the same course. By the time my corral went I think all the marathon turns were shut off because I didn't see where they split but they did run next to us for about the last 3 miles. I was watching the recap and they said they had a world record broken this year - the fast marathon in an Elvis suit, the winning runner was wearing an Elvis suit, only in Vegas lolGreat recap! Is the full marathon at night, too? I can't imagine doing that, but I suppose there's no better place for it than Vegas!

Wow that is just amazing! The guy who did that, Michael Wardian, is a beast. He also owns the world record Dopey time as well. 48.6 miles in 4:38:45 (5:44 min/mile average).
WOW am I bad at updates
Maybe because there wasn't much to report on last week. I spent Thanksgiving week at my parent's house in VA. They literally live on a mountain, So I decided to run on the treadmill instead of gravel mountain roads. Talk about boring!!!
I did get some important work done towards Dopey and that was picking out my nailsMy SIL sells Jamberry and she always suckers me in with the Disney nails. So I picked these out in honor of Dopey.

I haven't really given much thought on outfits for Dopey. I feel this is very unlike me. Maybe because I am so focused on running this time. But if I am going to dress up now is the time to put them together so I can get some dress rehearsal runs in.
Ok now back to running, we got back Saturday night so I am running outside again!
11/27- Long run - 8 miles with a goal pace of 14:59. I thought this was one of my best LRs. I had one mile that was 13 secs. off pace but the rest were 7 secs or less off pace. Every long run lately has been giving me more and more confidence towards the marathon.
11/28- 4 mile Easy A w/ goal pace of 16:32. This was a blind run. I started out a little too fast and ended a little too slow. Part of the reason was the fact that I run the first 1/2 mile around a church set back off the road. Usually this isn't a problem but I was running in the dark and there was some guys hanging out in the cemetery that started yelling stuff at me and it got a little scary. I just ignored them and kept going but I did speed up.
11/29- 3.75 mile Strength run- .5 mile warm up followed by 3 x .75 miles @ strength pace (13:47) w/ .25 rest intervals in between and a .5 mile cool down. I decided to take DS9 out with me since he is training for the Hellcat 10k in January. We had a good time chatting while we ran and it was otherwise uneventful.
Only 30 more training runs until Dopey!
