For those of you who fly out of BDL, how do you get to the airport? We usually drive to the airport but I was wondering about a car service. Have you used a service, if not where do you leave your car? Thanks for the info ( I hope I get some.)

I always drive to the airport (only about 45 minutes to a hour from my house), and park at Piccolo Bradley Air Parking. Roncari Express is also very good, I just happen to have a frequent parker card with Piccolo that I got through work. I've had great luck with both of these companies. Just show up, give them the date & time of your return, and they shuttle you to your terminal. Quick & easy. And much better than airport lots in the winter - when you call the shuttle to picl you up, they get your car ready so it's all warmed up for you, no having to clean off snow! I had a friend who once parked in one of the airport long-term lots, and literally had to dig out her car when she got back, because they had plowed the lot and piled snow up around her car! No thanks!

I always stay the night before at a hotel that uses sleep, park, and fly programs. That way, we get up,get ready, and the hotel shuttle drives us directly to our terminal. It's the only way I will do it for an early AM flight.

we also use sleep, park, and fly. i forgot the name of the hotel we used, but it was about $85. you leave your car in their parking lot and they shuttle you to the airport in the morning.

I dont remember the name of the place we park but its right across the street from the terminals and is next to some type of theater. They are reasonable and will honor a triple A discount. I also find them quick for pickup too~

Thank you all for your responces. It will take us about an hour to get there and we leave at 5:55pm so the sleep and fly doiesn't really work for us. The last time we flew we ended up in the parking garage as all the lots were full. $$$ We are going from wed to sun with no threat of snow, so I was looking into what other people do.

Thanks again

I thought about taking a car service too... BUT it was alot of money!

From Wethersfield to BDL is 21 miles. A cab would be $65. A towncar would be $135. A limo would be $175 plus tip - all ONE WAY! Yikes, I paid less to fly to Orlando!!!

So we end up parking at Roncari or Piccollo. Both are fine. Roncari is more expensive. Picollo once left the driver side window down in the rain.

Have a great trip!

Roncari with the AAA discount has been the lowest rate I found. It's great for all seasons because they clean your car off, run the motor for you, and it's parked right by the building.

I take Connecticut Limo to the airport when going by myself during the day (so DH doesn't have to drive me), but it's over $30 one day for a trip that takes an hour. It's convenient, but costly.
