If you don't show up for a FP time is there a penalty like missing an ADR?

Yes, I know that it's not nice to other visitors to take a FP that you will wind up not using so I have no plans of not using them, but my son absolutely must do Jedi Training. So while I have FPs scheduled, if the only time available for JT coincides with my FP window, I will have to give up the FP.

I thought about that after I posted my question, then when I went to edit it I saw this reply. In theory I will get to the sign up desk early in the morning and have my time assigned to me then (hopefully there's something available), so I can cancel the FP at that time if there is overlap. Thanks.

no pinnate I miss a lot of FP and some times I can not drop them ( been in the back of too many emergence vehicles while at disney) but I aways try to if I can

While there is no monetary penalty like the ADR missed fee of $10 per person, you are penalized the FP return window before you can get another FP. Also Mickey may shun you for not dropping your FP so others could enjoy your space in the FP queue.

This may not be an issue for everyone, since some will have a FP for later in the day or evening. So if this is your last FP as part of a FP+ group, you can't get an addition FP until the window has expired.

Note: You have to cancel or change before the window starts because once the FP window starts, you can't change the FP.

Yeah, I figure if we have to sign up first thing, I'll have plenty of time to cancel our later FPs.

You might be able to reschedule. I was able to do this last week. We were running behind, and I knew we wouldn't make something.

If it is something that you don' t want to miss, i would go to the CM and explain the case
When we were there last week, we were close to an hour late for our Test track FP. I explained to the CM what happened. And she asked me to show proof of the FP from my MDE acct and let 10 of us in. Of course i think if you are over 2 hours late...it would be different.
