But in the UK, a Pudding is a term for dessert, while in the USA, a pudding is a specific kind of dessert. Same with trifle.....actually, the opposite....in the USA, a trifle means a dessert with layers and in the UK, it's a specific dessert. Another one of those language things, I guess!
OP, that sounds yummy. My favorite trifle is brownies, choc pudding, caramel ice cream sauce, cool whip ---- when I make that for parties, it's gone in about 4 minutes flat. Have also done Heath bar, 7-up cake/berries, smore's, etc. Love trifles, they are my "go to" when DH tells me he's got a pot luck at work the next day....at 9pm......
