If you didn't have rent or bills to pay , what would you spend your salary on?

Whenever I get a raise (extra money) I stick it in my Roth/401K so that I can retire asap and do all of the previous responses sooner rather than later. Most of our bills are household bills, and somewhat in our control (shut lights, unplug things)/keep heat lower/canceled cable, mortgage paid off, grad student loans have one more year. When we get extra money from a tax refund or because we canceled cable, we do more projects around the house.

I consider college funds to be a bill that I need to be worrying about so I am not including that. For pure fun I would say travel, but first I’d probably do a few major home projects that would make the time i’m not traveling more enjoyable.

As PP mentioned, since college for DS is a current bill, I won't count that, but would fullly fund, so no loan debt for him, and set aside DD's money for college two years from now, and vet school down the road! Otherwise charity, helping family, and definitely travel! So many places I want to experience, interspersed with Disney of course!

I would definitely donate more to a certain favorite charity. Travel would be nice but the rest would likely be spent on home repair and maintenance. :sad2:

Travel to see my dd and her baby :) Take my sister to Disney as paybacks. She has footed the bill for me a couple of times.
And craft and/or art supplies
