If you could pick the next Disney movie for a ride to be based on...

I always thought a Monsters Inc ride would be cool. They could do an illusion type thing (ala If You Had Wings) that made it felt like you were in a HUGE room of doors that was much higher than you really were. Then you could go in an out of different bedrooms....so cool.

Also, take the old River Country and make a water park like the salmon place in Brother Bear. Also cool. :smooth:

Kuzcotopia!!!!!

Monster's Inc or Nemo would be awesome! How about The Little Mermaid? I always wanted that to be a ride even though I love the show at the Studios. Aren't there big rumors about Nemo?

MOnsters Inc would be so cool, but I bet there'd be major issues with Pixar over it!!!!!!!

I doubt they'll do anything based on a Pixar production unless they get the partnership worked out.

I always thought that they should have done the Alladin ride (the whole cave of wonders sequence).

The ideal next ride, IMHO, would be one that helps bridge the gap from pre-adolescent to teenager that Disney has been ceding to Universal over the past few years. If I was Eisner, I would back up some Brinks trucks at Warner Brothers and the Rowling estate and lock up a Harry Potter ride. They've done it for other successful franchises that didn't originate with Disney (Star Tours, Indiana Jones ride and show).

I think that would be a hands down winner.

If we're gonna do pure Disney, how about simply re-theming Big Thunder Mountain Railroad just a little to get into the "Home on the Range" theme? During that mine car chase sequence in the movie, I predicted to my DD (aged 4) that Disney would re-theme BTMRR so that we'd chase Alameda Slim and maybe hear some yodeling. Not sure if the movie was popular enough tho :(. But it's something they could do cheaply and easily, and it might just blur ppl's memories of those fatalities on Big Thunder in DL last year.

I've been wishing for a Mary Poppins ride for a long, long time. I envision it something like the Peter Pan ride but with umbrella's as the vehicles and you fly over and see the sights of London mimicking the adventures of Jane & Michael.

It would be FABULOUS!!!!

I agree that another water ride would be great. Something based on the Little Mermaid. I love that movie. But I am also a huge fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas.

I have always wanted to see a dark ride, a la GMR, that would encompass a lot of the films that have never gotten their own ride or show. Aristocats, Dalmations, Fox and Hound, Lady and the Tramp, Jungle book, Emperors New Groove, Mulan, Atlantis, Bambi, Hercules, and Monsters Inc. Kind of a history of Disney. I bet they could even find audio clips of Walt that could be used to narrate the entire ride.

I second the Kuzcotopia Idea!! :teeth:

That is one of my favorite movies. Squeek Squeeken squeek squeeketh :D

101 Dalmatians and Monster Inc! My daughters are CRAZY about the dalmatians. I saw pictures from a previous MNSSHP parade that had Cruella and what looked like a cage full of real dalmatians. If they have it this year I'll probably have to restrain my daughters from a rescue attempt! :)

I always thought an Atlantis themed submarine ride would be cool - maybe a high-tech replacement for the late, lamented 20,000 Leagues...

I would like to see a ride based on Toy Story where you are flying with Buz or a ride based on Mulan maybe like Winnie the Pooh type.

Not only do I also want the Monsters Inc ride, I know exactly how to do it for minimum cost. All you have to do is make the video portion, and reprogram the Body Wars vehicles to go with the video! The only problem is that it doesn't fit the theme of Wonders of Life, so they'd have to retheme the Pavilion. Still beats spending $50M or whatever on a new set of simulators.

I would love to just see Pirates of the Caribbean overhauled to be a much more exciting water ride with the action, charm, and humor of the new movie version.

:earsboy:

The Incredibles (Love the Trailer). I'm a superhero fan!:teeth:
