If you could only pick 1 restaurant...

With picky eaters, I would go with Crystal Palace. I have been to all the mentioned restaurants and they are all fabulous. Crystal Palace has characters, a childrens buffet( chicken nuggets, mac and cheese etc. and the adult buffet is great for the adults. You can take the children to animal kingdom lodge to see the sights without eating in Boma. What ever you choose have a great time:thumbsup2

We ate dinner at Crystal Palace and it was very good. Carved meats and shrimp were very good, The kids selections were also good plus it is a so if you get something you don't like you can go back and find something you do. The characters are also ther at dinner and the restaurant is also very neat.:cool1:

You didn't mention the ages of your kids but since they are kids I would say absolutely, positively, beyond a shadow of a doubt do a character meal. You cannot get a character meal with Disney characters outside of Disney. If this is your one dinner sitdown in the World - characters are the only thing you can't get somewhere else.

My personal recommendations for that are 1900, Cinderella's Royal Table or Crystal Palace. Is the food at any of those places out of this world? No. But the memories you make with the characters probably will be.

As far as the other opinions here. I always have to smile at how diverse this group is (and that is such a GOOD thing!). Personally, I disliked O'Hana and my 5 year old DD didn't eat a thing. I had to get her a sandwich at the food court when we got back to our resort. And LeCellier? We had such an extremely awful experience there that you couldn't pay me to walk back into that building. If that is the best steak Disney has to offer, then Disney should hang up trying to make steak. Of course, these are just my opinions. If I were you, I'd check out the menus and decide which characters your kids would really enjoy and go from there.

Have a great dinner whereever it may be :)

With kids, I would say Crystal Palace (we've only done breakfast, but have read that the dinner is very good). Love seeing Pooh and friends.

Crystal Palace was my first thought (and I have done every type of meal there---all fantastic).

Just a short story to consider with respect to character meals.

In Dec 2007 we were on the dining plan. My kids visited all of the following places for dinner:

Le Cellier
Biergarten
'Ohana
Teppan Edo
Coral Reef
Boma
Tutto Italia
Garden Grill
'50s Prime Time Cafe
Crystal Palace

I should point out that they liked all of them.

However, despite liking all of them, I've listed them above in order of their preference. (Depending on which child I ask, the order in the middle varies slightly, but this is an accurate picture of the overall preferences.) Notice where Crystal Palace is on the list. ;)

BTW, my kids were 6, 8 and 11 at the time.

Another vote for Ohana!!! We love it. My dd is very picky and she loved the shrimp and a few other items. My ds loved everything as did DH and I.:goodvibes
