If you could, how would YOU change the Disney Store?

Seeing how we all seem to agree that the Disney Store has gone downhill in the last several months, what would you do to change it?

Personally, less kids toys is a must! Considering how most of the merchandise can be purchased elsewhere, for less $$, they should reconsider this. This includes the massive amount of stuffed animals that have taken over all the stores!

Second, adult clothing, more reasonably priced, needs to be added. Not just pjs and t-shirts either! Maybe some items with just a hint of Disney...for those who don't want to announce Disney in the wardrobe.

Kids clothes, yes....but not so much Pooh or Princess!! This will bring in more kids...over the age of 7!

Finally, I think they need to add some theme park exclusive merchandise. Since they are always showing the park commercials on the tv, they could add a display with clothes or little souveniors (no, not that type! ) under the tv screen, next to the park tickets.

with adding more adult clothing as they used to. Also more home decor, and definately more collectibles. I miss the Gallery Stores!!! I used to work in one of them.

Anything for people over the age of 5 would be appreciated!!!!

I used to get all my pj pants there and they have NOTHING anymore. I complained to Customer Service and all the employees also seem very disgusted but I doubt anything will change

While I realize you need to keep the kiddies happy, there is way too much there. They could scale back and make room for some adult clothing. And I mean real clothes, not just t's and jamies. Sure there's adult stuff in the catalog, but I like to see/feel what I'm buying sometimes...and try it on as well. The adult section does not have to be huge, but a nice 1/4 of the store would be nice dedicated to diverse adult clothing. And some housewares might be good too (and I'm not talking just about mugs!).

Regarding adult clothing, I would like long T-shirts to wear with leggings. (Think 80's The few adult clothes they have like dresses or skorts or skirts, won't fit my hips. If they fit my hips, I can get another body through the waist

I feel like my TDS is for preschoolers & girls at that. I have two elementary school age boys. There is nothing there for them. We do not buy stuffed animals. We do not buy princess stuff. And we do not buy Pooh. More of the Fab 5 characters & not so much girly stuff. I agree with the adult stuff. I would love to find something for myself that was appropriate for every day wear (not a tee shirt) & not overpriced.

Lots more Disney related videos, DVDs, books. Adult size clothing - especially jackets. Less cheesy plastic princess stuff. Adding the Disneyana type collectibles back into the store would be a huge bonus. I used to walk into the store just to look at those with no intention of buying anything. I always ended up making some kind of purchase anyway.

Collectible - yes! Used to love going in to look (and buy) now nothing.

Disney at home - this is one of my favorite stores in Downtown Disney. Soaps, candles, lamps, etc. Why can't some of that be at the Disney Stores. Include some of the great kitchen stuff as well!

I agree with everything already posted!! It used to be before any trip to WDW , I would cruise the Disney store to get ready and in the right frame of mind. Usually picking up a few clothing items for my kids, myself and my husband. The overalls I bought a few years ago are a wardrobe staple for me!! I was there last week for an upcoming trip in may and very dissapointed. And what is with all the Pooh stuff.??? I have always wondered that. Even in the catalogue. It seems that most of the cool stuff for women is always Pooh and let me tell you he is not my favorite!1

Definately, more adult clothing is needed. I'd also like to see a selection for the pre-teen age group.

And, less stuffed animals. They multiply at my house and that seems to be what my younger one always wants to take home.

I would like to see the type of merchandise they had about 5 years ago. NICE adult things and I love the home items and special video things. I haven't found anything worth buying there for at least 2 years!

We don't have one in town and believe it or not I didn't even walk into the store Sat when we were at "the big mall". And we were on a specific shopping expedition with our upcoming cruise in mind.

My kids are both teens - nothing for any of us. And it used to be I never walked out empty handed. And Please people - something other than Pooh on the adult stuff. Give me the MOUSE.

It would be nice if they didn't make anyone pay for anything when we walked in and picked out stuff...wouldn't that be a novel idea?? More stores should do it It would make shopping fun and economical too.
