If you could have only one special had to have treat what would it be?

Either the Chocolate Covered Strawberries from the Pooh Corner shop, or the caramel macadamia nut clusters from the candy shop on Main Street. :cloud9:

I'm allergic to Cane Sugar, as well as Glucose (because of the corn), and to complicate things a bit, I'm severelly allergic to Sucralose:sad2::sad2:. I've been told by my allergist that I can have berry sugar in limited quantities (but I use it as a subsitute when baking), maple syrup, agave syrup (mexican cactus), honey in limited quantities, but that's about it. The only two that I'm supposed to use on a regular basis is the maple and the agave syrups for the reason that I can never become allergic to them. The berry and the honey can trigger my other severe allergies. Ah the joy of having allergies. I'm also allergic to meat, so I've been forced to go vegetarian as well, as seafood also bothers me if I eat anything more than a small amount of it, although have never been shown allergic to it. Thanks for all your greyt suggestions. I'm eagerly waiting to see what other goodies my fellow Diser's come up with. Hey I can dream can't I?? Have a great evening!

I have too many favorites, choc strawberries, caramel apples and rice krispy treats from Pooh's Corner, Choc Chip Cookies from Blue Ribbon Bakery or churros. How can you pick just one?

I guess it just depends on my mood for the day.

Are there delicious treats you CAN have in less limited quantities? Normally our "favorite treat" threads include popcorn, pretzels, fruit, even bread or tortillas. I'm dreaming of a non-sugary treat right now! :)

If you want a hot drink on a cool night you should be able to get a cup of hot water from a restaurant and then you can make tea and bring your own sweeteners, too.

My personal favorite sugary treat would be fudge or a sundae, though either of those is pretty likely to trigger a sugar coma even in those who don't have any issues with sugar. :flower3: My favorite overall treat...well, it's meat so never mind that. :flower3:

Have a great trip!

Go for the classic disney treats such as Mickey ice Cream bar, or dole whip

never heard of a tigger tail though, gonna have to try one of those!!

Tigger tails are skewered marshmallows, dipped in caramel and then dipped in orange chocolate. They finish them off by drizzling dark chocolate on them to give it the striped look. Super tasty, but WAY sweet. Almost too much for me. I can't eat more than a few bites without feeling sick. :rotfl:

My favorite sweet treat is probably the chocolate rice krispie treats. Not sure why those are so much better than elsewhere. :) Although I'm not much of a sweets person.. I'd take a jalapeno cream cheese stuff pretzel any day over something sweet.

I have never heard of a Tigger tail before - where in DL do you get them?

I second the jalapeno cream cheese pretzel - that is my favorite treat in DL! :lovestruc I also really like the pommes frites at Cafe Orleans.

Tigger Tails are in the candy shop by Splash Mountain and Winnie the Pooh ride, called Pooh's Corner. They are so good! But one is enough for many to share! In my family, we can each take a bite or two. They are so sweet! :thumbsup2

Another vote for a Tigger Tail. But like a previous poster mentioned - HELLO SUGAR OVERLOAD!!!! I can eat a whole one by myself without gettig sick though - I love them.

The other quintessential Disney treat would be the dole whip. I didn't like the dole whip though.

These are 2 treats that you won't find other places. WDW has a dole whip too. No one has the Tigger Tail besides the candy shop at Pooh Corner.

Churros are definitely the best! I really would like to try a tigger tail though. Not sure about the Dole Whip. Not a pineapple fan.

Dole whip may be a little less sugary though. If I remember correctly, Churros are sprinkled with cinnamon sugar are they not?

what is a dole whip? i'm adding all these treats to my notes :D although since its DH & i w/ our x2 littles, the tigger tail might not make the cut.

Churros are good... but you can buy them at a lot of places. The mickey bar, tigger tail and dole whip are pretty DISNEY.

Dole Whip is sort of a creamy slush. But not really. Picture fresh pineapple, vanilla ice cream and ice in a blender. I am not sure how they make it, but thats what it seems like.

Tiggers tial is three big marshmallows on a stick, dipped in orange coating and then drizzled with chocolate.

Mickey bar (on the stick) is like the old fashioned Eskimo Pie but shaped like Mickey and really yummy!
They also have a mickey ice cream sandwich.

Pretty much... you cant go wrong no matter which you pick! :rotfl2:

Allergies - what fun! I also have a cane sugar allergy, among others. I wanted to mention that I had an allergic reaction to beef as well, but then we figured out it was the feed. I'm allergic to wheat so if the cows are fed oats, I have a problem. I think it's the gluten in the oats. Anyway, I do well with grass fed beef, though. Something to consider.

The allergies don't stop me from having a treat at Disneyland! I have loved the Snickerdoodles, even though they axed them. I'm still hopeful they'll come back. And I love the turtles in Pooh Corner. The tiger butter fudge is also the best.
