If you could cruise Disney again, what would you do differently?

We will actuly try to do some snorkeling:D this time
the ressie rush(didn't even try for anything first cruise)
Our first Cruise was Great but we did a mostly relax and play it by ear trip. after planing all kinds of stuff for over a year:jester:

Next time we're going to do a beach excursion on St. Maatren by ourselves instead of paying for one. That is the only thing I regret doing. We were a little affraid to venture off by ourselves, but now we know how easy it is. We'll still do Captain Nautias St John snorkling excursion on St. Thomas because the boat brought us to two different wonderful places that we couldnt get to by ourselves. Other than that I don't regret much, we had a terrific time!

I wouldn't get off the ship at the end of the cruise..LOL

We have been on 3 DCL's and we booked onboard for the 4th. On the next cruise we are going to ask to be seated with others. In the past we have been at a table for 4 and enjoyed that family time but I think it will be fun to sit with others next time.

Been on DCL twice now and have not made it over to Atlantis either time..would like to do that...both have been 4 day cruise and I would love to do a 7 day cruise some day.

On our next cruise we are going to order room service. We meant to but didn't get around to it on our first cruise so are planning on it this time. We are also going to skip Palo.

Staying up later!
and
Attending more activities!
and I know this will come as a shocker to some but....
Not going to partake of the spa treatments this time

Mostly, not do so much at WDW before the cruise. We were so exhausted that all I wanted to do was sleep when we got on board.

Also, would go on a 7-day (actually did book while on board).

Bring more sea sickness medication--I actually lost weight while on board. I really wanted to want to eat.

Other than that, it was wonderful.

Skip the spa, spend even more time on deck 4 in the lounge chairs, not worry so much about prearranging what would be done what day....more go with the flow. Hmm, good question....probably skip more shows do things on our own like Studio Sea, walk around the deck. Oh, and a big thing we only did once at the end and all wished we'd done more of, eating lunch in the dining rooms and ordering instead of the buffet on deck. Very peaceful.:D

Good call! Lunch in the dining room is really underrated. One of our favorite things from our last cruise was a dining room lunch. The service was super attentive because hardly anyone was there. We polished off a bottle of wine with the meal, and it was all really nice. It's so easy to just hit the buffett that it's tempting to skip the dining room, but on our next cruise we plan to eat in the DR at least a couple of times.

We also much prefer the dining rooms for lunch. After 10 cruises on the Magic....I just like to relax and enjoy the ship.

I do think this list makes too big a deal out of the ressie rush. I've never had a problem getting ressies anywhere. No, I don't rush to be the first one to check in or anything, but I am there before noon.

I really like the high tea at Palo, and I enjoy the Rainforest after working out. I do try to work out at least on sea days as I don't want to gain weight on the cruise and I DO want to eat.

Realize that you can't do everything the first time (or even the 11th!). Choose your activities wisely and enjoy. Allow time for a snooze on deck or whatever floats your boat!

The cruise just keeps getting better~

I promised myself I would eat breakfast and lunch like I do at home, and save room for the wonderful dinners! By the third day I was so stuffed (and this after 5 days at WDW eating through Epcot) I couldn't enjoy dinner - next time will practice "everything in moderation" (except dinner, that is).

Also hopefully next time will be a 7-day since we all agreed that 3 days is way, way too short!

Not do nearly as many excursions!

Loved, but wouldn't do again (just so I relaxed a bit more)

Stingray City, (GC)
Parasailing (CC)

Didn't enjoy enough:

Key West trolley tour

Enjoyed doing cozumel on our own, going to Mr Sanchos, Hangin out on Castaway Cay, and THE SHIP.

Many others on our trip also thought they'd over excusioned.

Save time, save money, relaxxxx.

Jim

Do the dining room lunch...we did sit down breakfasts, but never made it to lunch...will at least do appetizers next time. Do not buy the package deal at CC...see how your day goes...we spent $100 and could have done just as well on $25. Stay up later...I missed all the evening entertainment because I was on my normal routine of 5 am to 8 pm...am taking late seating on our Oct cruise, and am determined to stay up till 11 pm. Don't pack as much...this time it is 3 swimsuits, coverups, and dinner outfits. Get some rest before the cruise...I was exhausted before our 7 day last year, and it wasn't until Tuesday that vacation mode kicked in. Do not worry about the money you've spent...I am the cheapest, most conservative person in the world, and our DCL vacation was worth every cent.

1)Have my kids wear their swimsuits when we board as opposed to bringing them and having them change in a bathroom (room not ready yet)

2)Eat Breakfast in the dining room (I think it was usually parrot cay). You get mostly the same stuff as topsiders- but it is not as crowded and the servers bring you your drinks so you don't have to juggle children and hot coffee!

3)Mail postcards early on cruise (castaway cay post office was closed when we were there because of weather)

4)Buy t-shirts on castaway cay (there were some really neat kids shirts there that were not on the ship) I wish I had bought some now::yes::

Swim in the pools. DW, DD, DS and I were so busy, the only place we swam was Castaway Cay.

I wouldn't go to the Dis-embarkation talk on the next to the last day. It is taped and re-played on your TV in your stateroom the last 2 days.

Why waste 45 minutes going to it.

::MickeyMo On Sea days spend more time outside, not waste my money on bingo. Next time I'd like to do a back to back cruise.::MinnieMo

Our next cruise I am not going to waste as much time shopping.
Oh, yeah, I agree with Magic Cruiser. We will skip Bingo next time. Also, we'll do the dessert buffet. We were too full, too tired, to do it last time due to late dinner seating.

This is our 3rd disney cruise.
I would like to try one of the spa's never done it in my life.

I would like to go horseback riding on a beach.

I would like to rent a jeep on one of the islands and explore it on our own. Not an excursion.

We leave for the Western on April 24th 2004.

Oh I wish they would do away with Key West stop.
