If you can't put your money in the stock market, might as well give it all to Disney

I think you can cancel right up to the last minute without paying, unless it's a ressie you had to secure with a credit card, like a Fantasmic package, CRT or a dinner show. HTH.:thumbsup2

As I have mentioned my beautiful sister is getting married in May. The plan has always been that they would go to Mexico for the honeymoon. Thank God my mom talked her into trip insurance. Right now she is obviously upset and trying to figure out what to do with all that is going on. Her trip insurance will not refund her money unless the CDC says that there is a travel restriction and right now they are using words like "warning" and "advisory". Her future husband doesn't care and just wants to go to Mexico. I think that even if they go and remain healthy the trip is going to suck. They have closed all of the Mayan ruins in the area. The all inclusive resort will likely be half empty and when that happens those places cut back big time. They may close restaurants, bars and other excursions that are supposedly "included". I am trying to help her put together a fast Disney trip. That is what she wanted all along. BUT, her fiance is not on board at all. Boo! He has never been in his whole life so he doesn't get it. I found her a pretty good deal at WL and gave her the name of Ladybugmom's travel agent (thanks Becky!). Hopefully she can work some magic and get them something great. My sister really wants poly or boardwalk but I told her it was criminal to pay full price for a vacation anywhere this year. Maybe the travel agent knows a few tricks. Please pray that whatever they decide my sister gets the honeymoon of her dreams. She works like a dog as a VP at a major bank in America. ;) and has had a stressful wedding planning year. She really needs a great vacation. This has me so stressed that I cannot even think about our trip right now. So no major updates from me today. Hope you are all doing wonderfully. Off to go read some other trippies.:surfweb:

No problem, Erin!! I hope my travel agent can work some Disney magic for her!! Praying everything works out so your sister can have a magical honeymoon!!

Ugh, your poor sister.:sad2:I'll definitely pray for her. How nice that she's got such a supportive sister.

Swine Flu that is.
It just hit our county. All schools are closed for two long days. No church. No dance. Even my gym closed. Of course my husband still has to go to work b/c he is a private contractor. NASA and the base it is on are encouraged to take liberal absenteeism but he works for a profit loving company out of California. They don't care. So he is at work and we are at home. And I don't want to go anywhere but outside. Luckily, it is beautiful out.
We have had a few changes. We are going to keep both of those ADRs and we will probably use them. Assuming we do, we are going to pay for our Kona Cafe breakfast OOP because it is not worth using the DDP for $9.99 breakfasts. And if we need to cancel an adr along the way then we are good.
We also canceled San Angel Inn on our first full day. After reading the 999th bad review I decided we needed a change. The other thing that I didn't like was that the closest bathrooms are in Norway. We cannot get through a meal without a couple of bathroom breaks. So we are eating at Rose and Crown. Yummo! Why didn't I think of this earlier? This is our kinda food. I am bummed that I cannot try a welsh dragon or a snake bite BUT I'm missing out on drinks no matter where we go. And sticky toffee pudding should more than make up for it. :woohoo:
No new info on my sister's honeymoon. She is freaked but still cannot get her money back. She is soooo mad because she paid for the insurance and is basically worthless unless they close the border. I want her to get a beautiful Disneymoon. She is planning on starting a family right away and this is her only chance for a getaway for just them. Maybe a billion years from now she and I will be able to take a fun sisters vacation-just us. And all of the kiddos can stay with the daddies. Ahh, to dream. :cloud9:
And what's that? I will be in Disney in one month. Yipppeeee!

Ugh, your poor sister.:sad2:I'll definitely pray for her. How nice that she's got such a supportive sister.

Thank you. She deserves the best. She is almost 29, not that 29 is old, and has watched most of her friends get married, have babies and all of that. and she has always been right there to plan showers and coordinate bachelorette parties etc. She deserves to have a great wedding day and honeymoon. Now, her biggest fear isn't even the honeymoon but if people will be too scared to fly to SC for the wedding.

Ughhh, I saw that on the news today about the suspected swine flu in Huntsville -- stay safe and wash your hands a lot.

We are eating at Rose and Crown in June, and I am definitely looking forward to that sticky toffee pudding! :thumbsup2

On Monday we will wake up bright and early and grab some in-room breakfast before hurrying out to DHS for EMH. We want to get there right at the start so we can grab a FP for Toy Story AND ride it right away. This day has no further set plans but has the biggest wish list.
Tom desperately needs to ride Rockin Roller Coaster. He never has. I wish I could but at least I did way back in 1999. So I think after Toy Story we will head over there and see if he can get to RnRC and depending on the line for ToT he may ride that too. Abby sometimes says she wants to and sometimes doesn't. I don't think there is a snowball chance in Disneyworld that she will ride it when she sees it. ToT is not a must do this trip as Tom and I have ridden it several times. We changed our reservations (shocker) to dinner at Sci Fi. So, when we get tired we can go back to rest and come back for our early dinner at Sci Fi. We can also hang out until we get tired that night.
Here is our wish list for this day:
RnRC-tom
Toy Story Mania
Star Tours-Tom and Abby
Backlot Tour
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
Beauty and the Beast
Muppets 3D.
I have no major food wishes for that day. Although starring rolls is very yummy.

This is all stuff we did not get to last time.

hi!
Super busy here. We are going to SC today to watch my baby brother graduate from Clemson University this weekend. I'll get back to updates when we return.

Good looking HS day, I cannot wait to go to Hollywood Studios!!
And ugh:headache: for the swine flu hitting your county. It hit our state, but is a few cities over(about an hour from where I live) but that is still much too close!!

WOW I have missed a lot I am trying to catch up.

Your DHS list looks good.:thumbsup2 We can't wait to try TSM!! We missed a lot of the shows last time so we're looking forward to those also. Looking forward to hearing more.:)

Heeeellllloooo!
19 Days to Disney, baby!:banana::dance3::banana:
That sounds too good to be true. Right now, I could use a few more mental health days built in beforehand. But we'll make due. I was away all last weekend with my family watching my baby brother graduate from Clemson. We have one more trip to SC before we leave for Disney. My sister's wedding is fast approaching. They have decided to go to Mexico for their honeymoon and at this point that is probably what would do. They are just going to try to be outside as much as possible. They are excited and only a little apprehensive. Thank you all for your prayers that it would work out. It seems like it has.
Mother's Day was lovely for me and my family. We skipped church and slept in since we had driven back late the night before. Tom got the kids and went to get some flowers and cinnamon buns. He gave me the best mother's day gift in the world. He got me a one night stay at the Westin here. It is brand new and beautiful. I will get a massage and breakfast in bed and I have a late checkout of 4pm!!! I am entering the part of pregnancy where sleeping is hard to do. A heavenly bed and no waking kids will be awesome. I get to go the Saturday after we return from Disney. Yeah!!!:dance3:
Nothing has changed with our trip since last update. I still need to get to my plans for the remaining days. I'll do that in the next update. After having tons of problems with ordering custom outfits from a bad seller on eBay I hav decided to try my luck one more time and order from a different seller. Hopefully the paypal claim will work itself out and I will get my original money back.
My mom will be here in a few days for Abby's dance recital. We are so excited. Her costume looks just like a Cinderella dress if Cinderella were a ballerina. Abby only has a few more days of school left as well. Well, off to shower!:)

WOW!! What a GREAT Mother's Day gift, Erin!! I hope you have better luck his time with your customs. Oooh--Abby's dance costume sounds beautiful!! Can't wait to see pics!! :cutie:

On this day my precious little baby will be 1. What a day! We are most excited for this day. Here are the plans:
Get up early and take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom for EMH. We did this EMH last time and it was the best. We got to ride almost every Fantasyland ride before the rest of humanity descended on the park. We have a slightly different plan this time. I think we are going to head over to Frontierland and hit Splash Mountain and Big Thunder since that is now open early instead of Tomorrowland. Now, these are the two rides that I am grappling with the most. For sure, Brady cannot ride them. I'm pretty sure Abby will love them both. They are both not recommended for pregnant women. But so is lunch meat and I eat that at least twice a week. I have been to the Moms forum and to several other sites that say that some pregnant women (as long as they are healthy and feeling well) have no problem on these. I have surfed while pregnant, been on a jet ski (albeit never fast) and on a hayride that I really thought was going to put me in labor. (;)). So, the plan is for Tom to take Abby on the ride and get the baby swap ticket. If he thinks it is okay then I will ride with her again. If not, then I will skip it no questions asked. I have a feeling that splash mountain will be okay and Big Thunder will likely not. But even if I end up skipping both it is okay. At this point we will have been here three days and I will hopefully know my limit at that point. I hope no one flames me for my decision. There are many rides I would not even attempt. I am a labor and delivery nurse by trade and have talked to my doc about it. She went to Disney during both of her pregnancies and she did Splash Mountain and Kali River. She isn't a roller coaster person. She said she was so hot that she had to do both rides. She said that it actually was better for her health. :confused3
So we'll see. I also have an Ultrasound coming up so we'll get to see that the placenta, cord, cervix and baby are all doing good. If they aren't I will probably have to modify this trip even further. I have said from the start that if I have to spend 8 days lounging poolside at WL it still will not be a wasted trip. :thumbsup2
Anyway, after EMH in Frontierland I think we will take the train around the long way to Main Street and try to get some good pics in front of the castle and on Main Street. I need to remember to get a fastpass for something before we leave. I may just have tom run into Tomorrowland to get FPs somewhere. We have 10:55 ADRs at Chef Mickey's for Brady's birthday. We will either walk or monorail over to CR. After our late birthday breakfast we will probably be ready for a little rest at the pool and nap in the room. This is the day that I plan to do laundry s maybe that will happen now. Around 3 or 4 we will venture back to MK. Probably by bus since it is faster. We will probably take the train over to Toontown. I loooovvvvee the train. And while I know he is only 1, this is for Brady as much as for me. He loves trains too. Such a difference from Abby! We will probably hit Barnstormer and let the kids splash in the fountain. We will try to meet the fairies. We are not going into the judges tent this time. It was a huge time suck last time. We will try to hit a couple of things in Tomorrowland as well. Our dinner ADR is for 7:10 at LTT. We'll see if we are at all hungry or in the mood. I would say there is a 50% chance we will skip this one. We plan to last as long as we last doing stuff that we love. Here is my must-do list and my wish list:
Must do:
Tom rides Splash Mountain (he never has)
ADR at Chef Mickeys
Lots of pics in front of castle and around Main Street
Barnstormer (I think Brady might be tall enough-he is huge)
Train
Wish list:
Something yummy (Dole Whip, Bakery, ice cream parlor)
Haunted Mansion
Pirates
Abby and Tom ride Big Thunder
Stitch's Great Escape
Buzz Lightyear
Tikki Room
Astro Orbiter (random, but one of my favs from childhood)
Phillharmagic (we had to leave early last time because Abby couldn't sit still)
We have two MK days so this wish list carries over.
Things to skip:
Judge's Tent
Ariel's Grotto
Tom Sawyer Island
Country Band Jamboree
No real reason for any of them other than we did them last time and we are okay with skipping them.

Ok, first of all, GREAT Mother's Day gift.:woohoo: You'll definitely have to tell us in your TR how that goes.

Your MK to-do list looks great, and no flames from me. You and your doctor (and your hubby) are the only ones that should get to judge how you handle your pregnancy. I know I got a few dirty looks for enjoying the odd Diet Coke when I was pregnant that I didn't enjoy. I think play it by ear is a good strategy.:thumbsup2

If you didn't get to see it last trip, maybe grab FP for Mickey's Philharmagic before your ADR. Abby will probably love it this time!
