If you buy your room through Disney, do you get daily housekeeping?

Hi everyone,

I posted this question on the resort board but thought you folks might have a better answer. If you stay at the Boardwalk Villas (we have a 1 bedroom) and are buying the room as a hotel guest though Disney, do you get daily maid service?

If so, does the maid leave you laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent every day? What else will the "mousekeepers" do if you are there as a hotel guest, and not a DVC guest?

Thanks!

Yes you get daily maid service if you pay cash and I am fairly sure that they keep you supplied with laundry detergent, etc.

Hi JandD Mom. I hope all is well with you. We just got back from WDW, with a stay at the BCV for 4 days and a week at Vero. We paid for Vero, and we had daily maid service. Nice resort, but a week is too long!

In this fast pace world we live in people really need to take the time to relax and "smell the roses" more. How can a week on the beach in beautiful, sunny Florida be too much? WDW loves this new type of traveler who needs non-stop activity. People are so unable to relax today. Years ago a family trip to the beach with nothing other than a frisbee, a good book, and a few board games would be considered heaven. Now people want activities 24/7. Peplo bring cell phones and computers. Vero Beach has a lot to offer. It is so sad that people can't relax enough to truly appreciate this place.

I HAVE to bring my laptop! DVC doesn't have wireless, so my wireless PDA doesn't work, and my cell phone internet connectivity is too clunky to use efficiently.

You are absolutely right, of course. We should all relax more.

I smile a little whenever I see Mr. Businessman handling a business situation on his cell while waiting in line for Small World with his kids. I smile because mine is turned off. But then I realize the technology is probably what is allowing him to enjoy that vacation with his kids in the first place, so it's not all bad.

I'm just hoping the FAA decides not to allow cell phones use in flight on aircraft. If they open that up, those of us who travel never will get any down time!
