If you book a room with a CM discount can you still get the Dining Plan?

Titla pretty much says it all....

MIL is trying to plan a family reunion type trip. Her cousin can use the CM discount for us... but she's still figuring out details.

If we used the discount... I believe it's 50% off rack rates for rooms?.... can we add on the Dining Plan for our party? Is that discounted or full price?

I know cousin said she could get a number of tickets as well... so does this throw off adding the meal plan? Do you have to have a package to make use of the meal plan?

Sorry, still a bit new to looking at a trip this way... and dreading attempting to do meals for SO many people. ACK!!!!!

The CM discount is a room only reservation and the dining plan can NOT be added to it. There is no CM discount on packages and that is what is required to get the DDP.

The 50% discount is only if the CM is staying in ONE of the rooms. A CM can book up to 3 rooms and can only book a friends and family discount 5 reservations a year. If the CM is not staying in the room the discount is 40% or 25% (obviously once the 40% discounted rooms are gone, all you have to choose from are the 25% discounted rooms. There are only a certain allotted number of CM discounted rooms). If the CM is not staying in the resort with your group, then she/he has to come by and verify the reservation with their CM ID (but can also fax a copy). The CM can purchase tickets for friends and family at the "company d" store, but the discount is tiny, saving about 5% off.

Ooooooh, thanks for the speedy reply. I really appreciate it.

CM would be going along with... but we'd still need at LEAST 3 rooms total if we got suites.

The Cousin did say she could get a SOME tickets for adults and might score SOME tickets from friends... I wonder how many we are talking about...

Hmmmmmmmm, I will have to weigh that against other deals. Having the DDP is so easy for us... and I know MIL was wanting to do an all inclusive type deal for everyone.

Off to ponder...

Thanks again!

And it depends on how she is "scoring" her tickets for friends and guests. They may be one day PH. A group your size in numbers would require a lot of tickets... :confused3

Just to agree with other posters. My daughter is a CM. We get 50% off rack rate on the rooms, cannot add dining plan. As far as admissions go, she can get up to 3 people in to the parks for 6 days per year. She has to go to the gate with us, she uses her Blue Pass and the people she is using the pass for will be given 1-day park hoppers. Now I believe CMs with Silver passes have different perks, like complimentary tickets, but not sure how many.
