We are looking to check availability for the new Hope Lake Lodge in Cortland, NY for 8/27 to 9/3, 2010. Just wanted to know if we should even bother calling Member Services to see if we could do an exchange.....Thanks!

I don't see anything at all for that resort during that time. However, most good exchanges are gotten off the wait list. I'd call and put in a request if that's what you want.

From other posts this time last year -- the resort was still in pre-sales and deposits to RCI were not expected for quite some time. Couldn't find any more recent info ... but also did not see any deposits from Hope Lake Lodge (#8757) in RCI under weeks exchanges/rentals using a fairly powerful trader.

To make matters worse, I found nothing in NY state with a June, July or August 2010 check-in. Closest 2010 match was Kaatskill Mountain Club (#7608), 2BR for 9/10/2010. Not sure if this is on DVC's approved exchange list.

Might be a good time to get on the waitlist for Summer 2011?
