I hope they continue it too... I think it was tons of fun and YUMMY to boot! Thanks for the great update on the dessert party...hopefully they continue this so we can try it. it looks YUMMY
Hello My brother! Are you sure you can't just pack me in your suitcase... I promise to be super quiet!!!Great post, keep 'em coming sis. I'm subbed.
Yes... The crusts were not good. Off with the pastry chef's head!!!Thank you for the review of the dessert party. I am trying it for the first time on my next trip. I wonder if they use the same pastry shell things for the mini desserts as 1900 Park Fare, since I liked the fillings there, but not the crusts.
I can't wait to try the shooters though, or that creme brulee. I am so excited for this party!
Thanks for the update on the Dessert Party. I am curious... when making our reservation the CM was very careful to explain (as they always do) that the price included tax but not gratuity. Since it is a buffet and you are not served, I am assuming there is no gratuity. Am I correct on this??
OOPS!i did not EVEN THINK about tipping here. There was no receipt to sign, no check to pay, so it didn't even cross my mind. OMG. I feel like a really bad Dis'er. How embarassing.
Normally, at buffets, I try to tip - espcially if one CM goes out of their way to clear plates, point out something or get something. Tipping is recommended at most of the buffets (I can speak to CP specifically - there was a tip recommended on the receipt.)
I just don't know... I wish I had a firm answer.. after what you said about the CM on the phone I really thought and I just can't remember when I made the ressies what what said... I feel like a big dummy. But I can't imagine they are expecting a tip. Where would you leave it? they are not serving you, correct? they are just refilling the platters of desserts? So tipping would not be expected. At CP meals you are being taken care of by a specific server, whether it is a sit sown location or a buffet. This is not quite the same, I think. I hope!
Anyone??
Thanks for the compliment!First, thanks so much for the wonderful review of the MK dessert party! We'll be attending ours on October 14th ... a little more than three weeks to go!Everything looks delicious ...
As for tipping - since everything at this event is prepaid and truly self-service I don't think there is any need to tip. I think you were just fine Ms. H.![]()
I can't wait to hear what you think... WeGreat dessert party review. We'll be there on the 29th. I cant wait to try those shooters, tarts, strawberries etc etc etc.

Too bad. Thanks for the encouragement. Thanks for the review! Unfortunately we won't be able to fit the dessert buffet into our schedule, it sure looked great. I agree with Brenda, I don't think tipping was necessary.![]()
I like to push people over the edge... It's a hobby!I've been teetering back and forth about whether or not to book the Wishes dessert, but your review just pushed me over the edge. In a good way!!!

I don't really like sweet things, but there's enough chocolate at that buffet for me to maybe experiance it sometime if they keep it around. It looks very pretty though- even to a nonsweet tooth like me.
i have a strange feeling that it will be around a while... The price went up and I think this things is a CASH COW.. MOOOOOO!Love the review of the dessert party, it looks fantastic. I know they are extending it until Dec 29, it would be awesome if they would extend it through January, when DFi and I are going, it sounds delicious.
OOOOO! I can't wait to read your review!!!Your pics and review of the dessert party have me drooling and so glad that I booked this for our MVMCP night! Cannot wait!
