Just a heads up to anyone who may park at the Kansas City, MO airport. It used to be that the economy parking was $5.00, circle and terminal substantially more. But handicapped parking was $5.00 anywhere - even at the terminal.
Effective April 1, 2006 apparently this is no more - All handicapped parking is normal rate for the chosen lot. I guess they got all new busses that can accomodate wheelchairs, so they don't see the need to accomodate by lowering the rate in the closer lots.
Supposedly there are signs, but you don't see them at 5:30 in the morning! They havent publicized the change at all except at the airport itself, as people who used HC parking pulled out for the last few months. So for the average family who parks at the airport infrequently, you won't know until you are hit with that huge bill on your way out!
