Do not beep at me to move the second the green arrow (left turn) comes on. What you did not see is there was still a car in the intersection when you were beeping at me to go.

not again. if I was better at searching, I'd find the most recent thread exactly like this...

I've been known to sit through the entire light when someone does this to me. :rolleyes1

I see people do this on a regular basis when I pick up my kids from school. There is always some bozo in the right lane beeping the horn for the other drivers to move while kids are crossing the intersection with a crossing guard. There are lights blinking signaling that it's a school zone, everyone driving really slow, crossing guards at the intersection wearing fluorescent yellow vests using their whistles and stop signs and kids crossing the intersection. One would think that there are plenty of clues as to why the traffic is slow or at a standstill, but I guess not. :headache:

Oh Sister, I feel you....happens to me all the time......some people just have no patience. :)

I honked because I saw that you were on your cell, applying makeup and your child was out of their carseat climbing into your lap. I thought you might like some help driving.

yeah.... none of the above.

Not to hijack this thread, but you'll be thrilled to know that tonight, after ensuring that there was no traffic coming from the left, I did turn right on red at that light... without any 'auditory urging' from the cars behind me :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 :banana::banana:

So proud of you;)

The cab drivers in DC are the WORST about honking as soon as the lights turns green (and sometimes a split second BEFORE the light turns green, actually). I don't drive in the city, but I hear it ALL THE TIME as a pedestrian. It is so daggone rude.

And if you are in an extended-cab jacked-up pickup truck, on the way to work one morning, behind me at a green light (no arrow), both of us waiting to turn left, don't sit there and blare your horn at me when there is no break in oncoming traffic (who also has a green light)...

And don't then proceed to tailgate me through a school zone when I'm already going 35, blare your horn at me some more as we merely approach a stop sign...and when you try to pass me on a double-yellow line, make sure you've actually passed me before you move back over; don't move over when you're right next to me and make me have to drive off the road...

This was my commute to work on Monday morning...

You just have to hope that this behavior earned some bad car karma.

It's the LAW to honk as soon as the light turns green in Manhattan! :lmao:

I haven't had that happen since I mounted the machine gun on the roof... :rolleyes:
