If you are arriving late in the evening.....will they hold the reservation?

Or should I let them know I will be checking in late? I will be arriving after 7pm.

You don't need to let them know when you will be checking in - the reservations are yours ... it's not as if they can give the room to someone else at the last minute. We've checked in really late at night (although most of the time if we are arriving late, we will stay at a cheap hotel to save points and check in early the next morning at DVC.)

Actually I was worried in January about this same thing. Just to be safe I called to inform them we would be arriving very late (after 1 AM) at BWV. The CM said "Yes, it is a good thing you called to let us know". I don't think that they would have given the room away, but everything was ready for us with minimal paperwork. Had to ring the bell to get the night clerk who was expecting us. Better safe than sorry-I would call and let them know.

Two trips back we had a massive delay in our flight and arrived after 2 am. The room was ready and our paperwork was on the counter waiting for us. It couldn't hurt to let them know,but I think they are pretty much used to that happening.

I've arrived around or after 11:00pm at least four times, and have never had a problem. Nevre had to wait for the room to be ready either

When we sent our friends down for their honeymoon at BWV, I asked about this when confirming the ressies. The woman I was talking with mentioned they'll note it in the memo section of the reservation, but that it wasn't necessary to forewarn them. Just seems to me to be common courtesy to do so.

This makes sense to me...unlike regular hotels, there's should be no need to 'confirm' or 'guarantee' a late arrival. Ethically, Disney can't rent out _your_ room that _you_ own...if you decide not to show up.
