…… which ship and or itinerary would you pick?

So there’s three of us girls were all celebrating our 50th….. I have one friend that has sailed on two cruises both on Royal so that’s what she wants to do which we are fine with…….. i’m the planner in the group, love to plan…… i’m pretty new to cruising myself, I’ve only done two carnival…. actually, I’m planning a Disney cruise for my family also and while re-searching I found out almost every cruise line is cheaper if you book right when the itineraries come out, so I’m just now starting to look at Royal and it feels so much different than carnival. I feel like there seem to be at least a lot more options with carnival…..

We are in the Atlanta area, so ideally Port Canaveral will be the farthest we will want to go, maybe New Orleans?

Just curious, if anybody feels one ship or itenerary might be nicer than the other for a no kids girls trip :)

We are all pretty much open to whatever we don’t have any specific requests

Oasis class ships are definitely my favorite. Those are: Oasis, Allure, Harmony, Symphony, Wonder, and Utopia of the Seas. Keep in mind, Utopia is the newest and only does 3 or 4 day cruises out of Port Canaveral. They are touted as "the world's biggest weekend ship." (aka, party time so that may or may not be what you are looking for.)

I haven't been on Icon of the Seas yet, scheduled for April. But my mom and my daughter went and LOVED it!

If you don't go on Icon, then I would say an Oasis Class.

I think you need to narrow down the options. Figure out the following:
1) When do you want to go?
2) How long (if someone wants to do a 3 day cruise, but someone else wants to do 7, that needs to be worked out)?
3) Is there a certain day of the week you want to step on board?

Then you look at your ports to see what ships are available. No sense someone suggesting "Go on a Southern Caribbean Itinerary" if you only want to go four days.

Personally, I think Freedom class would be about the smallest ship I'd like. We did Mariner (Voyager) and it was OK, but not my favorite. We've been on Freedom twice, Oasis, and Harmony (also Oasis class) in addition, but we've always had kids (last one the youngest were 18).

We are looking at around February of 2027
We don’t have preference on ports
Do you all have favorites?
Id say say 4-6 days but honestly not too much of a preference for that either

This is what is currently listed if you search Feb 2027, from Galveston, Port Canaveral, and I threw in Tampa:

Enchantment of the Seas:
Nights: 7
Departure: Tampa
Ports: Costa Maya, Roatan, Belize City, Cozumel
Avg PP Cost: 658

Symphony of the Seas:
Nights: 7
Departure: Tampa
Ports: Costa Maya, Roatan, Cozumel
Avg PP Cost: 801

Star of the Seas
Nights: 7
Departure: Port Canaveral
Ports: Coco Cay, St. Thomas, St. Maarten
Avg PP Cost:1556

Star of the Seas
Nights: 7
Departure: Port Canaveral
Ports: Costa Maya, Roatan, Cozumel Coco Cay
Avg PP Cost: 1576

Personally, I like the itinerary w/St. Thomas & St. Maarten, but I don't know that it's worth almost doubling the cost. Of those four, I think I'd choose Symphony, but would have to research Enchantment.
My opinion, but I'd also look at what's out of Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, or even Cape Liberty, but we'd be flying to whichever port.

Oh wow I was thinking I looked not too long ago and there was nothing posted for February yet for to the 2027 but maybe I’m mistaken

For some reason, symphony of the seas is not even showing up for me
Is this really all there is to choose from will they not have any like forfive or six days? I’m just not familiar with Royal, so this could be ordinary and normal

There are some six days, but they're out of FLL or Miami. I see 3, 4, and 5 night ones for Feb. 2025, so maybe they'll release more for Feb. 2026? I really don't know.

Are you searching on RCI's site? You can putting in as many filters as you want (date, length, ports, ships, etc). If you don't get enough responses, start clearing filters one by one.
