call them! Two months ago, when planning my cruise, I applied for credit online and got a $25 gift card. That was nice.
Yesterday I got an offer for a Disney Visa with a $200 gift card! What the??? That stinks! So I called them and basically told the customer rep that I was disappointed and hoped they'd honor this offer or at least the difference. They couldn't send me a gift card, but added $175 credit to my Disney Rewards!

Of course, this will probably only work if you haven't gotten the $200 gift card already.

there are many similar stories on the dis that go back a while....so GOOD to hear they gave you the credit. they would not do that for me, ions ago, but then they sent another direct request to both myself and my dh (we already had cards) and I did it online and we BOTH got new cards, addl money each and were thrilled.
Its a no brainer, FREE money and no cost to us...great deal indeed....love using that $$

So you've both got one now? DH got this earlier in the spring, we've booked our cruise with it, and got the $200 GC.

A few weeks ago I got the same offer in my name. I wasn't sure if you could have 2 separate cards in the same household, and both get the $200 GC but will try it now!

Did you both have separate accounts or a shared account with two cards? Just curious I called and they said I could not apply and they would not give me the $175 difference in gift cards...but thank you for being a great customer. Granted I have had the card for many years so I guess I can see why they would not honor a difference of $175, but I would love to be able to get the $200 gift card! They should give nice loyalty bonuses too

This is what I was told. Within 90 days they'll honor the promotion.

They gave me $20, though.

That is what they told me, but I persisted and they said well alright we will put it into our marketing dept. and they will get back to you within two weeks. I am sure it was just to get me off the phone and tell me no in writing, but it is worth a try

The only $200 offers that has been out for the last few years were only good for the exact name and address listed on the offer; you can't use someone elses offer code.

I used mine to apply for a second card in my name only. I've used it now this past weekend, so I figure a couple more weeks until I start watching the mail.

I don't think you can share the promo offers, as the codes are linked to a specific name.

They are able to change the name is certain cases. I got the offer to the X family, but I still have my maiden name. I called to apply and I had to explain that to them and because we had the same address and I was already added to DH card they let me apply.

I just applied for my first Disney Visa card today. I settled on the $100 Statement Credit offer, since it's slightly better than the $100 Disney Gift Card offer, especially if you won't be spending the Gift Card soon.

When I get the card, I'll call and see if I can get that Statement Credit bumped up to $200.

Just wanted to post that I called after I got the promotion offer in the mail. Even though I already have a card they suggested I apply for an additional card for the $200 gift card. I did so and just got a letter in the mail stating I already have a credit card and can not apply for an additional one. So I called back today and was told Chase is no longer allowing current cardholders to have additional cards as of 3 weeks ago (mid July). So if you applied recently you will prob get a rejection letter. I did inquire if they could give me some bonus rewards points for all the miscommunication. They noted for the marketing dept and I guess I will get a letter in the mail letting me know if they applied any in the next 2 weeks.
