If we stay at BLT we'll actually SAVE money & other little white lies*UPDATE!! 4/27

OH.MY.GOSH!!!!! I am SHOCKED to even SEE you on the dis, let alone doing a TR!

BUT I am also so very HAPPY! (Thanks for the tip Michelle!) I've missed you around here!

:lovestruc Sea World! We didn't see the pets show and I wish we would've. Next time!

Didn't you just fall in love with the Contemporary? We sure did when we stayed there.... makes it hard to stay anywhere else when you have that kind of view, huh? "Personal" fireworks are hard to beat too!

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!!! :lmao: I was all "awww....look at those cute precious kids," and "awww...."what a great family picture to end with"! And then I get to the last picture.....

Sara

Oh yes she did and I was so glad! I love that picture of the 2 of you! :lmao:

Man, I've really been slacking... I didn't realize you were doing a TR too Sara! Off to at least sub so I don't miss anymore!

Oh, Monica... the Sheraton... Was that Sheraton Vistana Resort? Or just the "regular" Sheraton?

I'm loving your trip report so far. The BLT looks amazing and it must have been nice to have all the extra space. What an awesome view you guys ended up with and I can't wait to hear more about you trip!

Love the view, I wish I had gotten over to BLT to see. Always next time...
Hmm what was I doing, while Sara and Emily came over to see? Was that the night we were invaded by the little boys from the other table?

LOL! I know Nicole! Just took a little break. You know when you come back from a Disney vacation with like 1500 pictures who else is going to appreciate them like your crazy Disney friends?! None of my non virtual friends want to hear about what we ate! Can you believe it?!!

Yes, totally in love with the Contemporary. I have no idea how we will be able to stay somewhere else. It spoiled us.

That is one of my all time favorite Disney pictures!!! Did you ever see the one of Sara kissing the troll?:rolleyes1

Yes it was the Sheraton Vistana Resort. Have you stayed there too? Sara has too. Is it the only other place?LOL!

What an amazing first night! BLT looks fantastic! :woohoo:

Yes, it was such a magical night!:wizard:

Thanks for reading! The space was wonderful and ESSENTIAL!!

Um, you're asking me to remember something?! Hmmm, the night that Sara visited is the night that Michael came back with us and Sara came over with Emily while on their pressed penny tour. That was our Kona night I think so you must have taken a sleepy Katie back to your room. Hey, it's all coming back to me! I was starting to worry as I'm reading Sara's report and half of it does not sound familiar to me. I was there right?

What an amazing view!:scared1: You guys are so lucky to have stayed in a beautiful hotel and have a lovely view:cloud9:. I can't wait to see and read the rest of your trip report. Isn't it great that if you have the MK view, you don't have to go anywhere but your balcony to watch Wishes?:cheer2: I hope to stay there soon.

Love your title!

Sw seems like a blast.

And what an amazing view! I want to stay at a monorail resort.

Can't wait for more!

Yes, we were so fortunate to get to stay there and then luck out with the great view. The fireworks were great and the view encouraged us to get up early every morning!

We loved staying on the monorail even more than we thought we would. So convenient. Also, at the end of the late nights when Megan was asleep we could just wheel her on instead of getting her out of the stroller and folding it up.Thanks for reading!

I've never seen the sign all lit up at night. Thanks for posting that picture!

We are staying at BLT in December. I have a couple questions about your room. Was it a 2 room villa? Lake View? What was the room number I want to request that room if that is the case. AMAZING!!!!!! I am so excited to be staying there. Orgianlly going to stay at SSR then WLV but in talking to the CM at reservations he convinced me for a couple hundred more this was worth it. After seeing several peoples pics I have to totally agree.

Great trip report. I'm having fun living vicariously through you! Your title got me hooked because I do "Disney math" to make our vacations seem so cheap!:rotfl:

LOL! Well, ok then! You are welcome. I almost didn't since it's not that good of a picture.

Oh, you will love it!! Ours was a 1 BR suite, lake view. I think our room was 7904. We were on the 9th floor. After investigating on here I requested North side, even floor, above 6th floor. North side is the ourside of the building. I'm not sure about the even floor. Ours was odd, but I'm not sure how much of the 9th floor had our view. I think the higher up the better. It puts you above the trees and improves your view no matter what it is. I personally would not pay for a MK view because esentially your view is of the parking lot w/ MK in the distance. Ours was perfect because straight ahead was the beautiful lake, but we could look to the side and see the MK w/ just an edge of the parking lot. Good luck! It really is awesome. Even if you can't see Wishes from your room you can see them from the walkway and the "deck" at the Contemporary.

Welcome! Gotta love that Disney math! Have you ever talked to anyone who has never been to Disney and you say to them, "It's really not that expensive!":lmao: Thanks for reading!

We haven't stayed at the Vistana *yet*. We are going to Orlando for a weekend in April and staying there. We have some friends that are staying there for the week and we're meeting them. I was all psyched thinking we'd hit a park with them but they aren't going the first couple of days they are there. They want to "relax".

HUH? WHAT?

Since this is their first trip, they just don't GET it yet. We'll let it slide... next time though, no excuses! So, we're going to hang by the pool and "relax" :sad2:.

Alas, DTD is the closest I'm going to get for this trip.

Well, we really liked it and wished we could have checked it out more. They give you a list of activities that are going on everyday. It is a vacation club though so "Just say No". They do try to get you to come to the presentation and free breakfast with an entising money back offer, but they weren't pushy. I loved the screeded in porch.

Relax? On vacation? What the heck? Who does that?!:confused3 I'm sure a trip to Goofy's candy company will give a little Disney buzz. Have fun!!

Great update, Monica! WOW, the view is unbelievable from your suite! If you need someone to help with your kids on your next trip, I'm available! :lmao:

I always love seeing the entrance sign when we go to WDW, but I don't think I have ever seen it lit up at night! Thanks for posting it.

Getting caught up. I saw you on Sara's tr and your title caught my attention b/c I think that's what all wives say to get their way! :rotfl2:

My kids love SW. We have one fairly close to us though, so we have never gone to the one in Orlando. So jealous of your view! CR doesn't appeal to dh for some reason:confused3

LOL! Sure Lisa, but there is a pretty good chance that we'll all be cramming into a tent at the campground the next trip! :lmao: I had no idea my lit up Disney sign would be such a hit!

I thought of you the other day because I need to get back out to the Bath and Body Works outlet. Lets make another trip out there when the weathers nice. Oh, and we ate our moose pasta from IKEA the other night!:thumbsup2

Thanks for coming over! It's not really getting MY way. I know that deep down Dave loves Disney and he's just in denial. :rolleyes1

CR never really appealed to me either, but I'm sold! It's probably the price that's not so appealing. The campground is very appealing to my hubbie.:scared1:

Our first morning waking up in Disney was under our belt and we were soon ready to head back to Sea World for the morning to do some things that we had missed. It was another pretty day as we hopped in the van and headed out of the Disney bubble.

We were on a mission to catch the first dophin show. Let me just say, if you are planning a trip to Sea World do NOT miss this show! It was wonderful. It was kind of like a dolphin/Cirque show. SO GOOD. Like tears in your eyes cause it's over, good.

After the show we headed back over to "Journey to Atlantis" since mom had told Hunter that she would ride it with him. They donned their ponchos and went to ride. Dave took Megan potty while I waited. On this trip Megan had decided to be a Daddy's girl and he couldn't go anywhere without her. When Dave came back we decided to give mom a souvenir for riding with Hunter. Bring out the quarters! We're squirting my mom!
Disneymonica266.jpg

Disneymonica269.jpg

This is at the big roller coaster that Hunter couldn't ride called "Kraken".
Disneymonica278.jpg

Next we headed over to the aquarium to look at some freaky fish!
Disneymonica274.jpg

Disneymonica280.jpg

Disneymom413.jpg

This turned out to be a great touring plan. We rode rides in the morning while everyone else was hitting the big attractions and shows. We were practically the only ones over there!

Hunter thought was very cool to find his boat!
Disneymonica281.jpg

Maybe the obnoxious family on the steel drums was the reason that kiddie land was so empty.

By 1:00 we were finishing up and it was time to head over to Epcot. Woo hoo!

(Hey all. I have to go pick up my kids! I'll update more after they go to bed. Stay tuned!)

Woo-hoo! An update! :woohoo:

The dolphin show looks so pretty! :cloud9:

The kids in the fish tank pictures is hilarious!!

I love the picture of Hunter on the spinning teacups in the sky ride! He looks a bit loopy! :teeth:

The steel drum and Shamu pictures are such great ones!!

SeaWorld looks like great fun and now I can't wait to hear all about Epcot!!! :cool1::cool1:

Sara

After we left Sea World we decided to take the van back to the resort and hop on the monorail to Epcot.
Disneymonica379.jpg

Disneymom476.jpg

I'm not sure why we went back to the room, but mom took this picture on the walkway. Oh the miracles that happen at Disney.
Disneymom479.jpg

We were soon riding on the monorail over to the transportation center. I love the monorail. It's just so Disney. We transferred and got on... a bus. Not sure what was going on, but the monorail that goes to Epcot was down. Oh well. We'd have plenty of time to savor the monorail. Disney buses are fun too. Well, as long as it's not midnight on a packed bus and you're standing holding a 40 pound child and trying to balance the stoller between your ankles.
Disneymom482.jpg

Disneymom483.jpg

There is no feeling like your first moments arriving at the first park on your first day of your Disney vacation. It's just so magical. Too bad we couldn't savor it because we had ADRs at San Angel for 3:00 and we were cutting it close! Seemed to be our theme for the trip.
Disneymom487.jpg

Disneymom489.jpg

Disneymonica381.jpg

Mom and I had really wanted to eat at San Angel for the atmosphere, but the reviews always scared me off. This trip we decided to try it. I was very hopeful that we'd get to sit on the edge that overlooks the boat ride. When we got there this is what the restaurant looked like.
Disneymom503.jpg

Seriously, I think February must be the best time to go. Even when we left it was getting closer to dinnertime and it still was only half full. As for our seats..
Disneymonica387.jpg

Disneymonica386.jpg

Jackpot!! Megan loved the chips and salsa. The kids had cheese quesidillas. I had Polla a las Rajas (chicken). It was very good and the chicken was very tender and moist. For desert I tried the flan. I did not like it, but I don't think I'd like any flan. NOT a fan of flan. Dave and mom had Tampiquena con Chilaquiles (I think). I know they had something with steak and it was very good. They both really liked it. Mom just had ice cream, but Dave ordered the raisin bread pudding and loved it. We would absolutely eat here again. Great atmosphere, very yummy food and we had a great waiter.

After dinner we hopped on the boat and then explored Mexico.
