If we loved BW, would we love BC?

I am currently in the VERY early planning stages for Dec 2009. :rotfl:

It will be our first trip back down with our first baby - they will be about 15 months old at that time. We :lovestruc the BWV when we stayed there in 2006 - the convenience of walking to & from Epcot & the Studios was great & it was fun to hang around the BW at night when the parks are closing up.

So, we were considering returning to the BW until I started thinking about the BC - Storm Along Bay just looks so awesome - especially the sandy bottom pool & little mini pirate ship kiddiel pool for a little one. We also love eating at Cape May & would still be close enough to the BW to hang out there.

Has anyone stayed at both resorts? If so, which did you prefer? Any other great tidbits I should know about the BC that would help sway our decision? TIA! :goodvibes

I haven't stayed at the BW, but LOVE LOVE LOVE the BC. Storm Along Bay is just amazing and the proximity to Epcot, Studios and the BW makes it great for strolling along. We'll be heading to the BC for our first trip with our little ones in October and they'll be 16 months then so I'm hoping it's a great space for kiddos too. Good luck deciding and with your baby!

BC... all I can say is... heavenly!!!:cloud9: That is by far my favorite deluxe resort at WDW. It's even closer to Epcot than BW! It has Art!!! The rooms are great! The gelato in the marketplace is wonderful! How about having a snack by the pool from Hurricane Hannah's or Beaches and Cream?

Does any of that sway you?? Can you tell I love it there?:thumbsup2

We've stayed at both with our twins as babies and also toddlers. BC wins for us hands down. Yes, the pool area is heavenly with little ones. I've read some people say the opposite, so perhaps it depends on each individual child, but my girls will sit and play in the BC sandy-pool area for hours every single day. It's hard to tear them away. And, yes, we do walk over to the boardwalk frequently -- it's just a 5 minute walk away, as you know, so it's very easy to walk over and enjoy the activities, but it's awesome to be able to walk back to BC and know we're "home." I think you'd be very happy staying at BC! Congrats on going with the baby! It's a wonderful age for being in Disney. We've taken our twins since they were 7 months old and have enjoyed each and every age/stage. Enjoy!

Great! Thanks so much for all the great info so far! :goodvibes We were just excited to think about staying at BW again, and then I started thinking - hey, what about the BC? LOL We love Beaches & Cream & Cape May, so I think this may be a perfect fit! :)

TJA - thanks for the great input on taking little ones down! :goodvibes I can't tell you how many people think I'm crazy for wanting to take a 15 month old down with me! :rotfl: I want to go back regardless, so why should it matter how old my child is? Disney is very family oriented after all!! LOL It's great to hear a positive review of taking little ones down. ;)

We've stayed at both, several times at BWV and once at BCV even though it's our home resort!! We love them both, but I think BCV has a slight edge over BWV. Part of the reason being I'm afraid of clowns, and... scary pool alert...

Anyway. When we stayed at BCV, we had a wonderful 2br on the 5th floor that was incredibly clean, quiet and spacious. SAB is fantastic, and even at 26 I'm jealous of the sandy kiddie pool!!

TBH you can't go wrong with either of these wonderful resorts, but definitely give BC a try if you're thinking about it. Er, I just realized you didn't say BC*villas* in your post... well, we've stayed at regular Beach-Club-not-villas several times, and love it! Either way, great place. :hippie:

Thanks for all the great advice so far! Hubby & I were talking about it last nigth & I really think we may try out a BCV instead of a BWV this time! :goodvibes We've always loved BC when we go over there to eat at Cape May or B&C & I Love the look of Stormalong Bay! :thumbsup2

I think the biggest thing we'll miss is a BW View room where we liked to sit in the evenings watching the activities on the BW. But, with a little one with us next time around, I'm thinking the BC may be quieter for bedtime. ;)

I would say the BC.....perfect sandy bottom pool.

IMO....BC is perfect for little ones and older kids....Once they hit about 4 or 5 and want to go on the slide and run all over....go back to BW.

It is NOT fun or relaxing to run around that pool complex.
Happy planning
Kerri

Yes, I think you will love it just as much as BW. I think the pool at BC is better. It's also just as convenient to walk to Epcot & MGM. We've stayed at both and I actually prefer BC a little more over BW.
