If we land in Orlando 4:30 pm and then to POP, check in, and take uber....

Because Mythos decided to reburbish April 11 through 15, I have to change my plan. I am determined to dine at Mythos to take pictures for my scrapbook!

On April 9th, we are landing in Orlando Airport around 4:30 pm. We will be taking Magical Express to Pop Century.

Our original plan was after checking in at Pop, we were going to Disney Springs for dinner.

Now I found out, Mythos is open on April 9th (Saturday) until 7 pm and is taking 6:45 pm reservation.

Do you think we'll have time to check in at Pop and take Uber to IOA for Mythos 6:45 pm reservation?

We have 2 days (park to park) plus one day free tickets which 3rd day would have gone to waste (because we have full 5 days of WDW park before heading home to CA) but if we could use it on the 9th, it won't go to waste.

Was thinking since IOA closes at 10 pm on the 9th, after dinner, if the lines are long, we can just browse and take pics.

What do you all think? Will we able to make it to 6:45 pm reservation?

I would honestly have to say not a chance. I've never used ME but I've read to plan a possibility of 2 hours just for that.

a delay in landing at 4:30 could change your schedule drastically.

traffic on a saturday is a hit or miss thing which could tie you up in reaching a destination.


i don't see it happening for you to make it to mythos at 6:45

Why not just go on the 10th?

Skip checking in. Skip DME. (there's a whole sticky thread on the transportation forum that basically says "it's not what it's for, but people can and do let their bags be taken by DME even when they don't ride it...check it out)

Rent a car. Go with National or Alamo and have the car turn-in spot be Car Care Center or Swan/Dolphin the next day.

Get the car, drive to Universal, pay the parking fee. Go to Mythos.

Drive to WDW, check in, go to sleep, etc.

If you're going to Epcot day 1 of WDW, have the car return be at Swan/Dolphin (one is for Alamo, the other is for National, not sure which). If anywhere else, have it be at Car Care Center. Turn it in, put your name on the list to be transported to wherever you're going, have your day.

Or just keep the car if you can get a decent rate, and use that to get to and from Uni the 2 full days you're going there.

(and if you're taking DME back to the airport and qualify by airline and timing to use RAC, you can use RAC even if you're not going on the bus! it's a TOTALLY allowable thing (not a questionable one as is covered in the sticky thread I mentioned), so you could let your luggage go while still driving yourself, if you got a good enough rate with a car)

If you flightt is on time
If your luggage does not take forever to arrive on that conveyor belt, or if you have them yellow DME tags on your luggage
If you rent a car through alamo AND do skip the counter
If you don't hit too much traffic

Then you might make it to the citywalk garage around 5:30pm, but that's how soon as it gets

That leaves you one hour to provide for delays and time to clear UOR security, enter the park and go to the restaurant. But some might find it a bit short as delays happen

If you're going to POP first, no matter how you do it (DME, Uber, or on horseback) there's no way you'll make it

No way will you make it under the circumstances you describe..........too many things could delay you.

I was trying to follow easyWDW "most recommended days" but I guess I will switch one of the days.

Was planning to go to Animal Kingdom on 4/10 but will make that as Univ/IOA day and go to Animal Kingdom on "recommended day" on 4/12.

EDIT: Mythos is driving me crazy! After I switch days, now their website for April 11-15 is not blocked! What is going on!

believe me you will.

i would think it would be miserable to sit down and have a dinner if you had to rush from the airport, travel to the parks, get to the restaurant then wait to be seated, order then eat food and leave.

i don't do well for dinner if i had a lousy long day before i go eat.
i loose my taste for food when i am rushed like you will be if you kept the original date for mythos.
