If we just want to go to the beach at Nassau, is it best to just take the Blue Lagoon tour or is there another - different option? We are going on 4 day Wonder, Oct 13. DW, DD6, DD4 & me.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Although you will hear that the Lagoon Beach Day does not have great food, I enjoyed it a lot. I think that this is the perfect place for families with young children. The actual lagoon area is perfect for little ones and there are hammocks under the trees to get out of the sun. I have done this excursion twice and enjoy it every time.

If you want to go the fast & inexpensive route, you can take a taxi to the public beach on Paradise Island. It's $4 to $5 per person each way, and it's not fancy but is pretty decent. You can use the restrooms in the adjacent hotel, and there are banana boat rides, parasailing, and jet ski rentals. There are also some vendors selling trinkets and drinks...they are not obnoxiously pushy.
