If we don't get LeCellier...

What should my second choice be? LeCellier is our absolute favorite, but if I can't get that golden ressie this year where should we go? It must be in or near Epcot and not be a signature ressie.

I was thinking Coral might be a good backup. I didn't like Biergraten at all and although I liked Chefs I'm not eager to go back because the kids didn't.

We're in the camp of those that believe that while LeCellier is a good restaurant, it doesn't deserve its almost cult status. For alternatives, we enjoy Chef's de France or Japan.

our last experience at le cellier was terrible so we are opting not to return there in may, sadly their menu, service and quality seemed to really have nose dived IMO. We are going to Teppan Edo this time which I hear is great and we look forward to trying something different. I did hear 9 dragons is also good....

Teppan Edo gets my vote too. The food is of an excellent quality and the entertainment is great! I also like Nine Dragons. Coral Reef is good, but I think these 2 are better.

I have heard several good things about Yachtman's Steakhouse. I have never tried it since we have been lucky enough to get Le Cellier. I love the pretzel breadstick.

We have enjoyed San Angel Inn, Coral Reef, and Chefs. All for lunch though... not sure how the dinner menus differ. Next trip we are trying Teppan Edo, and then I want to try Tutto Italia.

AFter my Sept trip I would stay away from Coral Reef- food was fine but service was horrendous, and the volume in there was WAAAY LOUD!!!!! NOt a relaxing meal in any way. And did I mention the lines for the bathrooms?

How about heading to Spoodles on the Boardwalk, we always enjoy that. We liked Tuto Italia as well. We were not crazy about Teppan Edo. Food quality and show quality were not what it used to be.

I had Le Cellier's on 3/25/09. I am one of those that does not feel that Le Cellier's is worth all the hype. My wife enjoyed it and thought it was of our best meals and she wants to go back. My meal was not bad but I enjoyed Kona's more than Le Celliers.

Now I did over hear one of the hostess' tell a walk up customer that Le Cellier's is one of the smaller restaurants and it fills up quick because of that.

We took someone else's suggestion and booked The Wave. It is at a monorail resort so should be rather easy to get to from Epcot.

You could also try the Captain's Grille at YC or Spoodles at BW (though I've heard that may be closing soon) or Cape May at BC. All are walking distance to Epcot. Yachtsman at YC is signature restaurant. If you are willing to take a chance there is also ESPN Club or Big River Grille at BW.
