If we decide not to use tickets that come with pkg, what happens to FP+

If we get a resort pkg and get 10 day passes we don't plan to use this trip, will we lose our FP+ ressies tied to the park tickets from that pkg if we change the pkg tickets to NOT be the primary tickets. I have an activated AP, so I'm set, but I would like to get a package with 10 day tickets to use on our next trip. For DH, I would like to save the package tickets also since this trip will only be 6 nights. I figured we would rake a left over 1 day pass and upgrade it when we get there to a 6 day. I'm just worried we will lose DH's FP+ ressies that will be linked to the package ticket.

You won't lose the FPs. Just link your AP and the upgraded ticket to MDE and whatever ticket media you use at the FP tapstile will access the FP data in MDE.

Use the actual ticket media instead of the MagicBand at the FP tapstile so that you don't use ticket allowances from the 10-day pass.
