If we can DREAM it, we can do it! ..... another 30 day vacation Update 02/07

You desserts at Remy look so yummy. For them alone I can see why you would go back and cancel Palo.

Sorry the fireworks were cancelled, but sound like you were pretty tired anyway...

Love the relaxing breakfast!

I was looking at your pictures of Pelican Plunge and thought "hmm, I don't' think she has posted any pictures like this before" Then you mention that you don't hit that area often...

Gorgeous pics again.
I wish I was on the beach now.

Hi Karin

I am back from Alaska and catching up with everyone's TRs

Great updates from you as always, glad you had such a wonderful meal at Remy :)

By the way, Alaska was amazing!!!

Lx

Welcome back, Linda!
Are you doing a TR for your Alaska cruise? I'd love to read it! :goodvibes

Yes, we really enjoyed Remy, but the second time we went was even more fun. :rotfl2:

Clicked on your TR just in time to see all your wonderful morsels from your Remy dinner. Yum! I can always count on you for some fantastic food porn.

Love that you wake up as you as pulling into Castaway Cay! What a fantastic view to start the day with!

Question - do you have to order coffee to be delivered to your room first thing in the morning? Where else and what time can you get coffee? I am addicted it and basically need it the moment my feet hit the ground.

BTW- I have a new TR going for my HHI & WDW trip (combo TR), so stop by when you get a chance!

Pulling into CC is the best view on any morning! ;) We just love sitting out on the balcony and watching the island while the ship docks. :cloud9:

If you order your coffee the day before, it is delivered at a certain time. I guess you can just call room service, but I guess it will take longer to get it. You can also get your coffee from Cabanas. I think they are open for a continental breakfast from 6.30 on (best to check your navigator!).
But if you REALLY want coffee first thing in the morning then you could either have it delivered the night before, or so you get it when you get up.

Karin I didn't explore that beach either other than the part where Marv rested on a lounge chair and examined the flower beds up close !!!:rotfl2:The adult beach was like a piece of heaven sooooo serene and I loved how a couple of the guys just took their chairs out into the water ( properly sunscreened ) and enjoyed !!:goodvibes

We don't usually stop at the family beach as we have the cabana and don't want to waste too much time.
This time we wanted to check out Michelle and her family, so we explored a little more.
We have taken chairs into the water as well, really relaxing, especially with a nice drink in hand. ;) But you do get burned easily.
Now that we get a Cabana when we can I just enjoy sitting on the veranda in the shade. :thumbsup2

Well, it wasn't so much the desserts that made us go back, it was much more the thought of spending more time with Mathieu. :rotfl2:
We had so much fun together. So much that the Maitre d' wasn't really happy about it. :lmao:

No problem about the fireworks - we were to see them lateron. ;)
Yes, I know these pics of Pelican Plunge are completely new to our TR, but since we wanted to "spy" on Michelle, we had the perfect opportunity.
:thumbsup2

What lovely lovely treats at Remy! A perfect morning, breakfast on the verandah and the Castaway Cay!!!

They really take such good care of you at Remy. We had such a good time and such a good meal.
There is nothing better to wake up to than the view of CC. :thumbsup2

Love your desserts at Remy's.

What a beautiful view of Castaway Cay to wake up too.

It is sugar overload, before they let you leave. But on the other hand all of those are home made and so yummy.
I just love to wake up to the view of CC. AND to the fact that it did NOT take 3 hours to dock this time. ;)

Gorgeous pics again.
I wish I was on the beach now.

Thank you!
I will think of you when we are back in a little over 5 weeks time. :goodvibes

I LOVE seeing the pictures of us by the family cabana . Thanks for making me smile today:goodvibes!!!!

It was so good to see you having fun there. :goodvibes
Can't wait until we see ya guys again. A month and a day from today. :woohoo:

I am just bumping this up for Karin !!!!

Thanks Rosie! :goodvibes

Day 18, August 28

Another day in paradise - Part 2

So, a few photos later we headed back to the tram and got on our way out to Serenity Bay.
When we arrived our stateroom host was already waiting and heading over to greet us again.

We exchanged a few fun sentences, he insisted on taking our photo

and then we hopped onto the back of the golf cart and off we went to our Cabana.
Today we were back in Cabana 19 and our host started to explain all about it, then started laughing and asked if we remembered from last time.
We did and we all laughed. He made us promise that if we needed anything we would ring the bell and he would fetch things for us and with that he left.
We settled in,

then picked up some drinks from the fridge, put on sunscreen and then went on our way towards the ocean.

The water was nice and warm, but extremely shallow. To be able to actually swim you needed to walk way out.

We just drifted in the water, enjoying the sun and the crystal clear waters.

You could see that there had been some currents as there were lots of broken conchs in the water. We stayed in the ocean for about an hour or so, then when we got back we quickly took a shower, wrapped in towels and while I sat on the deck, Tom put the hammock to good use.

When we were mostly dried of Tom rang for the Cabana host to fetch us some drinks from the bar. It didn’t even take two minutes and his smiling face entered our Cabana.
We ordered and our host promised to be back soon. No problem, we won’t go anywhere anyway. About 10 minutes later he returned with the drinks,

Tom had ordered

a Corona and I had ordered

a Konk Kooler. It was awesome sitting outside on the veranda, munching chips, sipping our drinks and enjoying the view.

At around 11.45, after finishing off our yummy drinks we walked along the beach to the barbeque station.

There was a short line, but we were soon handed a plate and filled it with yummy salad, Tom added a cheeseburger to them, while I just wanted a hamburger patty, no bun.

We found a nice shady table and enjoyed our lunch. Once we had finished our salads and burgers we sat there, sipping our drinks, when a cast member walked over, took our dirty plates and started talking.
Both of us were surprised at first until we realized the cast member had been our server at Palo.
The Palo team was in charge of the Serenity Bay barbeque and he had recognized us right away. And when he learned that we would be on the next cruise as well, he told us that if we had liked his service he would be happy to serve us again. Needless to say we promised to ask for him.
After we had talked to him Tom got up and got us some more Diet Coke and

two Chocolate chip cookies and two small Banana breads. I am not a huge fan of Banana bread and this one was no exception.
To dry and not enough flavour for my liking, but I LOVED the cookies. Once we were done with our lunch we paid a pit stop to the restroom and then wanted to walk back to our Cabana.
But no such thing with our host. When we walked down to the runway from the restrooms he was already driving up to us in his golf cart.

To be continued ............

I just can't get enough of that clear blue water. Just lovely! :thumbsup2

And you know I get a kick out of those Corona bottles.

Great afternoon on CC!

What a wonderful day!

I did my online bookings at 105 days last night for my Dream cruise and Cabana 19 was still available. I thought about grabbing it but just couldn't justify $400 for just me. :)

Your photos of the water and sky look like paintings! So beautiful!

Love your food choices. Makes me hungry. (course your food pics always make me hungry :rotfl:)

Konk Kooler... I MUST try one some day. It looks yummy!!!

Hi Karin! Sorry to be missing in action for so long...
Your Remy dinner made me feel full just looking at all the pics. :rotfl: (With the exception of the Langostino mush, of course) That extra little box of treats waiting in your room just looks so special - very nice touch.
Ahhhhh, I am really enjoying your CC relaxation again! :thumbsup2 We are heading out in 2 sleeps for our WDW trip with the grandkids. Somehow I'm thinking it won't be especially relaxing! We have actually just added a 5th grandchild to the mix - a foster boy my son is hoping to adopt. He is almost 2 and very sweet - but I'm expecting some craziness to ensue! :lmao:

Beautiful pictures. I loved sitting on a chair in the water drinking a Konk Kooler...so relaxing. Scott loves those chocolate cookies.

I like the banana bread - but after I visit the vanilla soft serve ice cream machine so I can enjoy it a la mode! ::yes::

Popping in to say that I'm still reading along, just been too busy to post. We are considering trying a cruise again. Our last day on our first cruise was horrible but mostly because my husband was going through some medication changes. Looking at your pictures makes me want to go back! The view is gorgeous!
