If we can DREAM it, we can do it! ..... another 30 day vacation Update 02/07

Wow Karin! It is dangerous to be reading your TR while hungry and dieting! :rotfl2: The Kouzzina meal looked amazing! We had a good dinner there a couple of years ago. I wish they had had the yogurt dessert on the menu then! That looked sooooo good and refreshing!

Have to keep up with my threads !!!Having a little "REST" at work!! Have laundry under control and a pot full of chicken and dumplings simmering for supper so I have earned it !!!

Rosie, I'm coming for dinner, set me a place at your table!

Hi,
Okay I have read and am all caught up. It is like a trip around the world. LOL.

Great report and loving the pics.

It was good !!Today I made a roasting chicken with parsley potatoes and brussel sprouts !!!Yummy:cool1:

Rosie, you sound like my kind of cook! I do all my cooking from scratch, don't like the taste of processed foods.

I see your new TR, but can't sign on with my iPad. As soon as I start up my laptop I will be onboard. It looks like an exciting time!

The food llooked good !!I would be a little scared of something that had to be filleted at the table . But it did look very good !!!

We love the food at Kouzzina.
It's easy to filet it yourself, Rosie, but they are happy to do it for you. The fish was really full of flavour and so moist! :goodvibes

Great pictures from the Boardwalk area - it is so pretty there. Kouzzina looks delicious - I could eat some of those donuts right now!

It's a beautiful area. We enjoy Kouzzina so much. It's something a little different and that draws us in.
We can't wait to stay at BCV this summer and having easy access to the area. :thumbsup2

Great update! Your dinner looks so good!! The only time we have been to WDW that was very rainy was March 2011 and everyone said that was a fluke but oh my word!! Was it ever rainy! However, as they say...better to be in rainy Disney than at work! And it gave us the chance to explore the resort and plenty of time in the POP arcade which the kids loved!!

Thank you!
Dinner at Kouzzina is always a treat! :goodvibes
We have had some really rainy visits to Disney. Mostly in the summer and Hurricane Fay really felt like she was never going away.
On the other hand, since it was raining the parks felt so empty - it was awesome. :thumbsup2

YUMMY! Both of your meals look so relish. My DH and I ate at Narcoossees once and he ordered the whole fish, but no one filleted it for him. Not a good experience. :rotfl:

I think I'm due for some Kouzinna!

You definitely should give Kouzzina a try! The food is really nice and so different from the usual "Disney fare". ;)
Boo on Narcoossees for not fileting the fish, but I am not a huge fan of Narcoossees in the first place. :lmao:

Great Updates!

Wow beautiful day.. but looked pretty hot.

I have never tried Beaches and Cream. I always hear there is such a wait... maybe that is why I have never tried it.

Mama melrose..love the food, but seems odd how they are changing the dessert option for the fantasmic package. When we were there we got a sampling... not just two random desserts.

Too funny about the use of the ECV :rotfl:

The down pours on our last trip were crazy too. Hot beautiful day had these incredible storms roll in.

Yum, your dinner at Kouzzina looks great! I think Kouzzina is another one of those restaurants that is a bit less travel to by most.....and such a shame because it is a nice place!

Ann, you NEED to try Beaches and Cream. The food is really nice and the ice-cream creations are out of this world - but PLEASE, go there hungry!!! :lmao:

I think they only have the pre-plated desserts for the Fantasmic package. We didn't mind too much, we were stuffed when the desserts came out.

We really have to give Kouzzina breakfast a try some day - yours always look so yummy. And needless to say we have another dinner booked there for summer 2013! :thumbsup2

Kouzzina looks really good, I don't see too many reviews of this restaurant (apart from the odd breakfast)

I love Greek yoghurt so Tom's dessert would be perfect for me :)

You really need to try it, Linda. The food is really, really good! We have never had breakfast there, but I am trying to change that when we are staying at BCV.
Tom's dessert was really refreshing, but not sure if it is still on the menu. :confused3

Wow, that was some meal at Kouzzina - I so enjoy seeing photos of places I will never eat. Heck, I just LOVE seeing food photos!!!

It's a shame you can't eat half the food they offer there because it is really good.
But at least you enjoy the photos. :goodvibes

Well, I have to say the only part of that meal I'd be eating is the donuts...they look so yummy (and fattening for my mother of the groom dress). :lmao:

Wonderful pictures of the area.

What a shame, Kathy, you are missing out on a lot of yummy things. ;)
As I always say to my pupils - you never know if you like something if you haven't tried it.

It is funny that we were in WDW at the same time for years...we probably passed each other in the parks. Scott was on the Disney Wonder during Fay and he said it was terrible. He had to dock in Ft. Lauderdale and they bused him up to Orlando.

Kouzzina looks good, but Howie, Scott or Rachel would not eat the food there.

Yes, it definitely is funny that we might have been in line together without knowing. :lmao:
I didn't know the Wonder had to dock in Lauderdale during Fay. I would so not have been happy with having to be bused up to Orlando. :sad2:

Elaine, your family does not know what they are missing if they don't give Kouzzina a try, but if we are at WDW again at the same time, we will take YOU there.

I got behind again and I have to say I am so glad that you didn't update too much. I looked at the food after I ate, so n need to lick the screen this morning! :rotfl2:

The boardwalk is so beautiful. I just love the whole areas looks. I have yet to really hang out there, but have seen it from the Yacht and Beach clubs at night and it's beautiful. I have walked through it once too and I really need to get over there again and do more.

Jen, I had to :lmao: when you said you were behind. I have not updated here in a month, so I guess I am the most behind. :rotfl2:

You are so right on the Boardwalk area. We cannot wait until we stay at BCV this summer to have easy access to the area. We loved our stay at the YC - we had a water view room and we spent A LOT of time out on the balcony. ;) :thumbsup2

Wow Karin! It is dangerous to be reading your TR while hungry and dieting! :rotfl2: The Kouzzina meal looked amazing! We had a good dinner there a couple of years ago. I wish they had had the yogurt dessert on the menu then! That looked sooooo good and refreshing!

NO reading my trip reports on an empty stomach! :rotfl2:
Good to hear that you enjoyed Kouzzina as well. Tom's dessert was very nice, but I am not sure it is still on the menu. :confused3

Have to keep up with my threads !!!Having a little "REST" at work!! Have laundry under control and a pot full of chicken and dumplings simmering for supper so I have earned it !!!

You definitely did earn a little time off! You have a lot that you do every day. :thumbsup2

So do you have another TR somewhere that I am totally missing? See what happens when you get behind on the DIS. :rotfl2:

Hi,
Okay I have read and am all caught up. It is like a trip around the world. LOL.

Great report and loving the pics.

:thumbsup2 Yeah for being all caught up!
Glad you enjoy this trip and all the little sidekicks. ;)

More coming up pretty soon! :goodvibes

Karin, I made first page!! :yay:

:woohoo: You rock, Christine! :thumbsup2

I see your new TR, but can't sign on with my iPad. As soon as I start up my laptop I will be onboard. It looks like an exciting time!

Doris, I will be happy if you sign up for it, once you get back. Enjoy your vacation! :goodvibes

Welcome back Karin! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Thank you, Mary Ellen! The fun is slowly starting over at the new thread as well. AND I finally realized I never put the link into my siggie! :lmao: But now there is one. ;)

Day 11, August 21

A fun day and extra magic at night - Part 3

Once everything was settled we walked outside and over to Epcot to enjoy the rest of the Extra Magic Hours there.
We entered at the International Gateway and strolled through England and Canada and Tom picked up

a Moosehead beer along the way. We walked rather slowly, so he could enjoy his drink and when we came to Futureworld we decided to give Mission Space a try.
So, we slowly walked over, Tom finished his beer and we were pleased to see that there only was a 15 minute wait for the Orange team.

IMG_5191.jpg

Once we had made it inside the building we could see that it was far less than 15 minutes, as in about 5 minutes we had made it to the briefing room. And a few minutes later we were on our way to Mars. Far too soon our trip was over and we headed towards the gift shop.
Browsing done we walked outside and saw that the wait for the Orange Team was now only 10 minutes, so we turned around and got in line again. Orange card in hand we headed inside and there were only about 20 people in line ahead of us. And as usual, right then they decided to slow down things a bit and we had to wait for more than 10 minutes in that short line until we could get into the briefing room again.
Another 10 minutes later we had already returned from our trip to Mars. Test Track was closed, so we headed back towards the fountain and over to Spaceship Earth.

Just a 5 minute wait, so we got in line and walked right onto the ride. It’s always fun to ride Spaceship Earth and try to find new ideas for our future.

We still had a good junk of Extra Magic Hours left and headed over to The Land.
The line for Soarin was still long, and since there was no line for Living with the Land

IMG_5207.jpg

we hopped right on board and explored the Disney greenhouse.

IMG_5214.jpg

When we finally got off again we headed over to Soarin and the wait was short enough for us to get in line.

After 20 minutes we had made it to the gliders and asked if we could go in row one. The Cast Member was happy to do so and we walked over to the next bay where some people were already waiting. We scored seats very much to the center of the glider and enjoyed our visit to California.
When we got off the ride we decided to call it a day and leave the park. So we headed back to our car and drove back to Old Key West. We still spent a little time with an adult beverage in front of the TV before we finally went to bed.

To be continued ............

Fun update, Karin. You are a much braver woman than me. And in response to your post to me on one of your other TR's (or maybe it was this one :confused3)..."if you don't try it you won't know if you like it"...I have tried Mission and I'd have to be in a body bag to do it again. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I love Spaceship Earth and we like trying different experiences too.

Rosie, you sound like my kind of cook! I do all my cooking from scratch, don't like the taste of processed foods.

Sorry I missed your comment !!! I really only have time to cook at my second job and I do like to make things like roasts and chicken and biscuits for them !! Too many of the younger staff are not cooks for sure :rotfl2:

We love the food at Kouzzina.
It's easy to filet it yourself, Rosie, but they are happy to do it for you. The fish was really full of flavour and so moist! :goodvibes

I still don't know about the fish!!!;)
