If we buy OKW through Disney with March use year and MB,

are the points that we are "selling" back to Disney the March 2003 points? So more points would be coming in March 2004???

Another thread mentioned that Disney had points available with OKW and March use year. I hope so!!! That is exactly what we are interested in. And is the MB still $10 per point???

Since you are already past the banking deadlines, March 2003 points may not be able to be used for MB and might have to be used by Feb 29, 2004.

You would get points on March 1, 2004 for certain. MB is still $10 per point.

As noted, your guide can best advise about how you would be affected by MB with a March Use Year for an add-on. Once you hear, please report back here!

MB stands for "Magical Beginings". A program where DVC will take off (usually $10-$15) per pt off your puchase price in exchange for forfeiting your 1st years pts.

Thank you for your thoughts. I hadn't considered the banking deadline.

It just seemed odd that they would draw up a contract with no points--until March anyway.

I will call our guide today and let you know what she says.

I really want to use the 2004/2005 points for a 2005 trip. But I also want the MB discount!! What can I say, I want it all!!!

I started a thread similar to this last week. I called my guide and asked how MB would be applied if I purchased within a month of my UY. She told me only the cash deduction of $10 per Point could be applied. You would not get the points for the previous UY. In other words banking deadlines will not be waived just because it is a new purchase. She told me the within the last 3 months before your UY you will not get points from the previous year.

With regard to OKW points you have to go on a wait list for the UY and let them know the point allotment you want If the points become available then you will be contacted..
