...why don't they target non-students on game days??

They make it clear that we are a dry campus. You can't have alcohol in the campus apartments (even if you are over 21) nor can you drink it in the parking lots in your car.

Yet on game day seems like the parking lots are full of tailgaters drinking
Seems to me like there is a double standard. Rules are rules and if you aren't going to apply them across the board you need to change them or get rid of them.

I just don't like how they only seem to target students and no one else.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that many of those tailgaters are either alumnae, major contributors, or both. As such, it wouldn't make much sense for the University to come down to hard on them, for a policy that is obstensibly intended primarily to address underaged drinking.

I went to a school that was a dry campus due to religious reasons. They were pretty strict about it if caught. But it was hard to get written up if the RA was at the party too!

Juat a taste of the real world, I guess.

Colleges have no real standard of anything, other than milking students and parents for every cent they are worth now and in the future.... They can't really boss around non-students, nor would they want to. These are the folks paying the big bucks for game tickets, their kids' tuition and other contributions.

My college is a dry college in Downtown Chicago and claims that "Chicago is our Campus," so to be literal enforcing their idea of a dry campus would involve a lot of RA's talking to a lot of angry citizens.

Move off campus and get an apt, that's what I did; much happier.
